Lines of Glory (2009)

Trivia

Lines of Glory

Edit
The film was inspired by a couple of message board posts made on Jack Gattanella's IMDb page by his wife, Korey Hughes and Eric Luszcz. They were jokingly written about how Jack Gattanella went on a "drug-fueled frenzy" as a famous filmmaker. A conversation developed between Gattanella and friend and collaborator Zack Abramowitz about developing this concept into a mockumentary, along the lines of Living in Oblivion (1995) and Christopher Guest comedies.
A draft of a script was written by Jack Gattanella, but after some discussion the collaboration between writer/director/producer team Gattanella and Zack Abramowitz revolved around improvisation based on a firmly outlined story.
Shot in one day. One pick-up was done a month later for the last scene in the editing bay due to a technical issue.
The Variety newspaper headline used at the end is, for the most part, an actual newspaper, photo-shopped only to include the fake headline (Re: in the corner for "Mouse Dissidents still Squeaking" headline is part of the paper).
