What a terrible show! The overacting is too much! The lead character is as beautiful as he is a terrible actor... The lead actress is distracting with those huge implants and the cheap sex scenes are ridiculous... The supporting female character.. Julia.. Is as plain as can be... No emotion shown... Nothing saves this terrible show... Please skip it if you can.
Was hopeful that Adriana Barraza's performance would save the show... No... It doesn't... Her performance is again overacted and like a completely caricature.
Though the sets are appropriate to the story... The writing is terrible! Netflix needs to put quality first.

I can really watch anything and everything, from soap to thrillers and horror movies. This was supposed to be just one more tv show that it would be "ok" to watch. Story is good, interesting, you don't know who the killer is until the end (of course you can guess), the unfolding of events, a classic spanish tv show, but acting, so so so terrible!! According to the acting, one of the worst tv shows in recent times. I don't know is it worse leading actor or actress, maybe I would give her award for that if I have to decide, although the others are not much better either. I'm so disappointing because of that, a big waste of time in my life..
Years ago, this would have been a straight to tape piece of junk, the movie where you fast forward to the sexy parts. Even then it wouldn't have created a stir. Today, it is still tedious and stupid, an unbelievable plot, dimly lit and filmed in some anonymous city. I still recommend using the fast forward button, but be careful, the sexy stuff doesn't last long. It might be good for practicing your Spanish. The actors are all unknowns, most with the anonymous, dark-eyed good looks of a soap opera star. A kid from an orphanage escapes the cops through the efforts of a madam who supplies sex partners to lonely, rich women. Although the kid looked way too old to be stuck in the orphanage, he learned to sport a tux, grow one of those persistent four-day-old beards and become popular with the older ladies. You can easily fill out the details. One episode was far too much. If I missed something important in the rest of the episodes, I apologize. Just about anything would be a better use of your time.
A bit over dramatic in parts, but I found the one shocking thing after another happenings believable and fitting and Drama 101. The woman who played Mitou also played the maid in Babel. She really unabashedly gives her characters her all. I'll watch for more of her work. Lots of pretty men, no complaints there and always visually pleasurable. Ana, too, was a bold portrayal. I didn't think the woman who played Julia was the right fit chemistry-wise for the Emanuel character, but this wasn't an award winning series, rather just a kinda pay attention, somewhat entertaining one. Once was enough. An ok, "Who done it."
Bad to be considered a miniseries, mediocre as a soap opera.
Limited performances, flat script, stereotypical characters. The best thing about the series is photography, but at times it leaves a lot to be desired.
The plot has several sharp and predictable twists.
The most uncomfortable thing about the series is the protagonist's accent, which is inconsistent and forced.
All this encouraged with explicit sex scenes that do not add anything to the plot beyond the second episode with the sole purpose of showing the bodies of the actors.
A rather forgettable product in the line of the latest Netflix productions.
