Continuity

When Sonny is driving to visit the Jordans, he crosses the double yellow to pass a two-tone Chevy Monte Carlo (or Buick Regal). Three shots later, turning onto their street, the same exact car is sitting there parked.
When Sonny Vaccaro (Matt Damon) first pulls into the Nike parking lot in his Lincoln Town Car, there is a Ford Mustang in the space to the right. When he gets out of the car, in the wide shot, it's now a Chevrolet Celebrity in that spot.
During the first meeting between Sonny (Matt Damon) and Phil (Ben Affleck), Phil's shirt collar goes from buttoned to unbuttoned several times.
At 18:55 Sonny stops at a 7 Eleven and gets a blue Slurpee. In the next shot, he enters the end of an aisle holding a half gallon of milk and no Slurpee. He buys Wheaties, Sports Illustrated and milk, and no Slurpee.

Factual errors

Rob Strasser (Jason Bateman) mentions his age as being 45 years old. This film is set in 1984 when Strasser was in fact 37 years old.
On the title page of the Nike Marketing Division's player report on Michael Jordan that Sonny is studying the night before meeting the Jordans, the word Division is misspelled as "Devision".
Sonny says Adi (Adolf) Dassler, the founder of Adidas, was a member of the Hilter Youth. He and his brothers joined the Nazi Party on May 1, 1933, when Adi was 32 years old. He did, however, become a coach and supplier for the Hitler Youth athletic clubs to help expand production in 1935.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Rob and Sonny use the Nike bathroom in the beginning of the movie, they both just rinse their hands with water and dry them with paper towels. Neither of them use soap.

However, failure of the characters to use soap is not necessarily a mistake made by the filmmakers. Perhaps they were intended to be portrayed as having poor hygiene for whatever reason.

Miscellaneous

When Sonny is driving in the Jordan's neighborhood, he is shown holding a North Carolina road map. This map only shows highways and other main roads; it would not be useful for driving in a residential area.
The Mercedes at end of the film is a 450sl model, not the 380sl mentioned in the script.

Anachronisms

The "Just Do It" slogan didn't come out until 1987. It was created in 1987 by Wieden + Kennedy to accompany Nike's first major television campaign, which included commercials for running, walking, cross-training, basketball and women's fitness.
When Sonny is purchasing the box of Wheaties, at checkout you can see the back of the box reads "A Tribute to the Minnesota Twins." That commemorative Wheaties box was in honor of their World Series victory in 1987, but the movie is set in 1984.
Phil Knight is shown pulling up to Nike HQ in his purple Porsche 930 with a third brake light. Third brake lights weren't mandated until 1986.
The film is set in October 1984. During several scenes where Sonny (Matt Damon) and Phil (Ben Affleck) go into the cafeteria for snacks, Smart Foods popcorn is sitting on the shelf. Smart Foods did not come out until 1985.
Sonny decides to go to LA to meet George Raveling. The next shot, at 34:05, is of the landing gear of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner about to land. The plane was only introduced in 2009, despite the movie being set in 1984.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

The agent gestures in the air with a large envelope opener knife and yet the sound of metal against metal can be heard.

Crew or equipment visible

Matt Damon is wearing an obvious fat suit worn at the end of the movie before he starts running on the track. He touches his stomach, and it looks too soft.

Character error

In one scene, Sonny Vaccaro mispronounces the college Appalachian State. It is pronounced "App-uh-latch-an", not "App-uh-lay-shan."
