It broke my heart because the same thing happened in Bucharest, just two years later. Same outdoor pyrotechnics, same foam ceilling, only one exit, and an impossible long wait for justice in a country that is so devoid of it. I don't think everything has to be perfect to be deeply moved by a tragedy that shouldn't have happened. To me the acting was great, I felt each of one of those parents pain, even though I am sure that the pain the real parents endured is incomprehensible. A tragedy like this goes well beyond the victims and their family and friends, it ripples through society, even if society is moving so painfully slowly.
Is it one the best series that I have seen? Certainly not! But it moved me deeply and that is something. After all, art should tell the truth.

This is SO CRAZY. In 2015, in Romania, a club named Colectiv had a very big fire in which died almost 100 people. One of the biggest tragedies in Romania. And the crazy part is, everything was exactly as in this documentary. Some rock band sing, one of the members shows the singer that the ceiling is on fire, then the masacre started. And in 2020, director Alexander Nanau released a documentary called Collectiv, which was Oscar nominee at 2 categories. You can search on the internet Collectiv tragedy Romania. I think you will still find the original footages somehow. That's so crazy!! It's like they copied the exact case, but the thing is... both of them are real.
This is an excellent series, based on a book about the Kiss Nightclub tragedy in Santa Maria, RS, Brazil, in 2013.
245 young people, most College students from the many Universities in town, lost their lives in a fire during the party inside the nightclub. Ten years after the tragedy, no one was arrested. Four people were prosecuted but the trial was annulled.
Most of the young people were 18-30 years old. The series was endorsed by the parents of the victims, who still fight for justice to this day.
The cinematography is beautiful, the terror and senseless deaths are well portrayed. I highly recommend this series.

For me this is hands down that best Brazilian series ever made. The Kiss Night Club fire was the second largest tragedy of this kind to ever take place in Brazil with 242 death and over 600 seriously wounded. Today, at its 10th anniversary, Brazilian families and society are still waiting for a fair trial.
Speaking about this production, quite frankly I wasn't expecting much, but boy oh boy the writing, production, dialogs, and actors put on an amazing and touching performances that will make you feel like you were there.
Things move very slowly in the Brazilian justice system, and to be honest I was already forgetting about the whole thing. Anyway, I truly recommend everyone watch this. You will not regret it.

I don't understand the bad ratings about this show... Me as a beazilian citizen could see an beaultiful representation at the parents who lost their childs on this tragedy is a worth to watch it..
I remember the huge repercussion of this terrible tragedy, but i had no ideia how hard was to see their parents being prosecut by brazilian law simply to tell the truth.
The monologue at final episode of one of those father broke my heart, and gave tears...
If you thik that after 10 years, the guilty ones for this tragedy spend few months at the jail, it's something that will shock you. Very sa...

- TriviaThe Kiss Nightclub fire is deemed one of Brazil's deadliest, sharing striking similarities with the Station fire in Rhode Island (ten years prior), the Cromañon fire in Argentina, the Cocoanut Grove fire in Boston and the Lame Horse Fire in Kiev, Russia. All these tragedies were caused by inadequate use of fire or pyrotechnics, which generated ignition of flammable material.
