If ever there was a movie which deserved 0 stars its this one.There were times when i had to check with my friends if they were seeing what i was because i simply could not believe the nonsense that was being played on screen.I am a die hard Vijay fan but this one is very difficult to defend.The movie was made to tell us how good a human being Vijay is and that if we vote for him he will turn Tamil nadu into a paradise. He interacts with the audience more than the characters in the movie telling us how good a role model he is and we should all be like him.The whole cast must be ashamed of themselves and should do penance for dishing out a disaster like this. Having said that Vijay has promised his fans he will henceforth work with reputed directors so there is no way he can make another movie as bad as this.The trailer of velayudham looks OK but all of us are waiting for Nanban which i think will be the movie which will make us forgive Vijay for making Sura.

Sura was supposed to be a big splash, especially with Vijay leading the cast, but instead, it turned into an anchor dragging Tamil cinema down. Directed by S. P. Rajkumar, this 2010 disaster promised action, drama, and heroism but ended up delivering something that felt more like a chore than entertainment.

The story follows Sura, a fisherman with a heart of gold, who takes on a ruthless politician trying to evict his village. Sounds noble enough, right? But somehow, this simple plot ends up being stretched to the point where even the audience feels seasick. With a screenplay that drags on like molasses and dialogue that makes you cringe, Sura doesn't even give Vijay the chance to show off his usual charm.

Let's not forget the action scenes. They're so over-the-top and unbelievable that it's almost like watching a cartoon - and not the good kind. We get scenes of Vijay fighting off villains in the most unrealistic ways, and instead of feeling exciting, they just look absurd. Even the music by Mani Sharma, which could've added life to this mess, falls flat with forgettable tracks that do nothing to enhance the film.

By the time the credits roll, the only thing Sura manages to do is make you wish you'd done something else with those two and a half hours. Despite Vijay's best efforts, this film was a massive letdown, proving that sometimes even the biggest stars can't save a sinking ship.

Though down with a heavy fever, out of curiosity, I booked a ticket first day for this movie. And I rode almost 4 miles in a bicycle to reach the theater. I will regret that decision for my lifetime. Actually, it is a shame to call it a movie. Worst casting, worst acting, worst direction, worst ever dialogues. Even the comedy scenes are intolerable. Yes. I understand this one is a masala movie. But you cant mix and eat a bag full of masala in a small bowl of rice. The movie tested my patience from the first scene itself. I mean, do the people who takes these gems, watch it before the release or not? I am pretty sure they don't. Please, I beg you. Give it a miss.. Dot..

I can't believe I sat through the whole running time. This is undoubtedly the worst attempt at a movie (no, I'm not going to call it a movie) I have seen. A movie entirely based on idolizing, worshiping and butt-kissing a self proclaimed super star who attempted, but failed, and failed miserably in trying to use this as a platform for his supposed entry into politics. It's not the anti-logic in the movie script that annoys me the most, it's not the comedy bit played by Vadivelu that made me weep in agony...it's the sheer arrogance in which the director has gone about in making this...this thing the way it is. A floor mop and a water bottle could have played Tamanna Bhatia's role better. Watch this movie, only if you like torture as a form of entertainment. No, actually, just don't watch this movie.
