The idea of the series was based off of the fact that not many people review board games as they do with video games.
Bad Luck Bootsy was added at the last minute to the series and his character was thought up on the spot.
Mike Matei doesn't live next door to James Rolfe's house as indicated in this series. The shot of Mike's window was digitally added to James' window to create the illusion that their characters live next to each other.
This series was created as a side project for James Rolfe to work on whenever he's not making an episode of The Angry Video Game Nerd (2004).
The Dream Phone episode was originally made as the finale for the show.
