Now some may be a little disappointed for how open an ending it kinda is but to be honest I think it works here. Also I almost got emotional and the last time I can remember that was years upon years ago with that scene from the SpongeBob movie. Also it may be a little slow and unfortunately we just now got to figure out why the villain is doing what they are doing. That was a little poorly done but I can let it slide. I do wish we got a special credits though for the end of the anime (or at least first season). But that's just a nit pick. Again it could have been a little better but it in no regards is bad it is very good.
