What were they thinking with the music
This is supposed to be a thriller and the music sounds like something off of a 1980's comedy. This could have been a really good little movie as the story line was ok, but the music totally took away from even taking it seriously.
Reminded me of a typical Lifetime movie with a very bad soundtrack.

lower level TV movie
The real estate market is tanking and realtor Lauren Baker (Emily Rose) is struggling. It doesn't help that her writer boyfriend Francois doesn't work. Sean Crawford comes in looking for an agent to sell his family mansion which he co-owns with his sister Rebecca. With her partner Maddie, Lauren is able to sell the coveted Chicago address for cash. Then news of the murder of the real Crawford siblings on the Appalachian Trail arrive. It's a scam and the real Garrett Crawford claims the mansion. The situation for Lauren is dire and even Francois leaves her.
This could be a murder mystery but it spends half of the movie exploring the excitement of a real estate deal. It needs to get to the reveal of the scam quicker. It needs to get to the heart of a thriller sooner. Once the investigation starts, Lauren should pair together with Garrett. This plays like a lower level TV thriller. There's no reason why that thug would leave Lauren alive. It's not the worst movie out there but I can't give this a passing grade.

Not So Bad
I have to say that I was drawn into this story , It had a different feel to it , not like the usual predictable daytime movies. I agree with other reviews regarding that awful music throughout, I mean it just did'nt fit with this type of movie, completely mismatched!
The plotline here was good, intriguing , with some good acting performances from the cast. It kept me guessing and interested throughout, I think a 5 rating is fair, a thumbs down for the music though !

low budget, but it's watchable
The 2010 one! There are a zillion with this same name. (why do movie stars remove the year of birth from their entry in imdb?) anyway... Sean asks lauren the realtor to sell his high end house in the nice part of town. And she comes up with a cash deal from a foreign investor.... really fast! It all seems too good to be true. At the half hour mark, searchers are out looking for someone overdue from their camping trip. But we have no idea who is missing. If they are connected to the story, it would have been nice to know! And do realtors really spray champagne on the carpet, the furniture, and each other when they close a sale? I'm not sure why we had to watch lauren make love with her boyfriend for so long. Just the suggestion would have been fine. Is it common for sellers to ask to sleep with the realtor just after meeting? I expected her to be more surprised, but what do i know? Then the bodies start piling up! And... we finally find out how the missing parties are connected to the story. I guess this is mostly plausible, but you'd think someone would have asked the buyers and sellers for a driver's license at some point during the escrow process. Plot hole: why didn't maddy just write down the license plate of the fake seller? She had plenty of time outside the restaurant! Kind of low budget. Looks like they rented an airbnb for the week and filmed a movie. Its okay. Directed by tristan dubois.
Terrible
Very low quality movie, low quality storyline, and bad acting! The characters in this movie aren't well created. I sometimes play a movie in the background while getting other things done and this movie isn't even good enough for that
Did you know
- TriviaThe two main characters also both star in the SyFy series "Haven"
- GoofsWhen her boyfriend (Garrett) goes to the mansion to check the pump hose he leaves the tailgate door down. When she (Lauren) arrived the tailgate door is up. Garrett was still in the pool area when she arrived so it should have still been down.
- Quotes
Lauren Baker: You're pretty darn attractive yourself, and this house represents a huge commission, do...
Sean: Oh, so you would consider sleeping with me to get the listing?
Lauren Baker: I mean, I might. Would... would it work?
Sean: It might.
