Jane finds women in 2010 Los Angeles way too thin: In her time thin implied poverty - who'd want to be mistaken for a poor girl, Regency or 2010! While Courtney thinks that a chemical peel, a little Botox and waxing would greatly improve 1813, Jane pledges to stay away from The Waxing.

Who knew that a lady wasn't allowed to wear make-up in Regency England, unless she didn't mind being considered a 'Painted' Lady ... Jane praises the advantages of modern cosmetics, while Courtney enjoys being pampered by her Regency staff: "I feel so much more attractive here." Nothing however beats the pleasures of Concealer and Mascara, one thing they can both agree upon.
