Image
The Complete Real Housewives Franchise Guide(Photo Credit –Bravo/X)

One of the most popular and long-running reality television franchises, The Real Housewives, has managed to carve a place for itself over the decades. It still remains extremely successful, and the majority of the American editions are still ongoing. The hit franchise has expanded tenfold internationally as well.

The first edition of the franchise premiered in 2006, and almost two decades later, it’s going stronger than ever. Many series are in production now, covering several states and cities of the United States. Here’s a brief guide to all American seasons of The Real Housewives franchise.

The Real Housewives: Guide To All American Installments The Real Housewives Of Orange County (2006-present)

The first edition of The Real Housewives franchise, Orange County, aired in March 2006 and has since been very successful. Its viewership also led to the expansion of the series...

The Real Housewives Who Have Been On The Franchise Since The Start
Image
Since Bravo's The Real Housewives franchise originated in 2006, only a few of the Og housewives remain part of the franchise. The show has grown to be produced worldwide, although U.S. installments like The Real Housewives of D.C. and The Real Housewives of Dallas are no longer airing or in production. Numerous other Real Housewives locations are still up and running, each with a unique and fascinating cast.

The casts of The Real Housewives shows often change with a new season, with housewives opting to leave for any number of reasons. None of the original cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County is still around. LuAnn de Lesseps left New York City for a season and stayed associated with her Real Housewives show as a "friend" and fellow Og Real Housewives of New York cast member Bethenny Frankel took time away from their show, only to return later.

This Is Why Fans Won't See Tamra Judge's Son On Rhoc
Image
The success of The Real Housewives of Orange County has spawned several spin-offs across the U.S. The series will always be known as the Og Real Housewives show, with one of its most prominent stars being Tamra Judge. Tamra did not star in the first-ever season of Rhoc, but was introduced in Season 3. Fans have followed Tamra's long journey on the series, including seeing her get a divorce, calling Alexis Bellino "Jesus jugs," her constant feud with ex-friend Vicki Gunvalson, and finding love again with Eddie Judge.

What fans also got to see in the early seasons of Rhoc is Tamra's life as an Orange County mom. The reality star is a mother to four children, but after her nasty divorce from first husband, Simon Barney, their kids basically disappeared from the show. That is, until her youngest daughter, Sophia, made a return in Season 18. However, fans shouldn't count...

Real Housewives Vicki Gunvalson Reveals Scary Way She Almost Lost Her Life
Image
When you think of the ultimate reality TV queen, Vicki Gunvalson is a name that comes to mind. The self-proclaimed Og of the Oc didnt just star in The Real Housewives of Orange Countyshe defined it. Vicki was the one who brought the drama, the glam, and, lets be honest, some of the most iconic moments in reality TV history.

But recently, Vicki found herself in the middle of a real-life drama that was far from entertaining. The kind of drama that had her staring death in the face.

Yes, Peacock Is Removing Real Housewives Seasons In Bulk
Image
Fans are in a frenzy as Peacock mysteriously removes entire Real Housewives seasons mid-binge. Viewers scrambled to social media after encountering a "content not available" error message. Peacock seems just as clueless as fans, and subscribers demanded answers about the disappearance of Real Housewives seasons across the franchise.

Real Housewives fans of all franchises are melting down on Twitter/X and Reddit, after Peacock seemed to delete entire seasons from across the franchise in the middle of the day.

The Real Housewives franchise is one of the most (if not the most) sprawling reality TV properties, and fans of the show got a really unpleasant surprise today when several seasons became abruptly unavailable.

Viewers immediately raced over to Twitter and Reddit, unsure if their televisions were glitching or if the problem was more widespread.

As it turns out, it's affecting everyone, and so far, no one seems to know why...

Why Real Housewives Of D.C. Was Canceled After One Season
Image
The Real Housewives of D.C. had a promising start, but was canceled after one season due to a high-profile scandal at the White House. The show followed successful women in the D.C. area with connections to politics, offering a unique twist on the Real Housewives franchise. The original cast members of Rhodc have moved on to new chapters in their lives, finding success in their careers and personal relationships.

The Real Housewives franchise began with The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2006. Since then, a whopping 11 different series have been created, with viewers tuning in to watch the lives of housewives from New York, New Jersey, Miami, Beverly Hills, Atlanta, and even Dubai. Each one of these installments has been successful with a lot of that having to do with the OGs who have stuck around. In fact, Rhoc has a total of 17 seasons and no plans to end.

Sean Gallagher Dies: Former Discovery Exec & Half Yard Productions Founder Was 57
Image
Sean Gallagher, one of the founders of Say Yes to the Dress producer Half Yard Productions who spent over a decade at Discovery, died July 19 of cancer. He was 57..

Gallagher was heralded as a “pioneer” of reality television and a “kingmaker” as the industry took shape in its early years. Friends and colleagues including Warner Bros. Discovery boss David Zaslav and former A+E Networks CEO Nancy Dubuc paid tribute to Gallagher.

Gallagher founded Half Yard Productions in 2006 with Abby Greensfelder. In addition to TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, the company made hundreds of hours of unscripted television including Bravo’s The Real Housewives of D.C., Animal Planet’s Hillbilly Handfishin’ and Discovery’s American Loggers and The Last Alaskans, Nat Geo’s Diggers and History’s How The States Got Their Shapes.

Before launching the Bethesda-based company, he spent over ten years working at Discovery. He started as an AP,...

I'm Not Worried for Vanderpump Rules' Future After The Season 11 Reunion & You Shouldn't Be Either
Image
Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules felt lackluster at times due to rushed filming post-Svandoval and repetitive storylines. Despite a hiatus, Vanderpump Rules is likely to return due to its popularity and the cast's investment in the show. The future of Vanderpump Rules is uncertain, but Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval's breakup has irrevocably changed the direction of the show forever.

The future of Vanderpump Rules has been an open question and, after season 11, it's more uncertain than ever after watching part 3 of the reunion, though, I'm not worried about what lies ahead for the long-running series. In season 9, Vanderpump Rules hit a creative and ratings nadir, but season 10's Scandoval breathed new life into a show that looked like it was limping to the finish line. Every cast member capitalized on the highly-publicized scandal that saw Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval's relationship fall apart due to Sandoval's affair with fellow cast member Rachel Leviss.

The Real Housewives Of DC: What Happened To Tareq Salahi After The White House Scandal?
Image
Tareq Salahi faced backlash for crashing a White House party with his wife, impacting his personal and professional life. The short-lived Real Housewives of D.C. series followed high-powered women in Washington but did not catch on with viewers. After his winery failed and marriage ended, Tareq married his business partner and now runs a charter company, striving for a new normal.

Fans of the short-lived The Real Housewives of DC series often wonder what happened to winery owner and husband of Michaele Salahi, Tareq Salahi, after the White House scandal, and there are many interesting updates. The business owner was not well-liked in the series. His unpopularity stems from constantly dragging his wife into schemes to boost his fame. This controversial former reality star has had problems since he joined The Real Housewives of DC many years ago. In that respect, he's much like Erika Jayne's estranged spouse,...

Real Housewives of DC: What Happened To The Cast Members After The Show
Image
The Real Housewives of DC was not renewed for a second season due to Michaele Salahi's White House scandal. Mary Amons is now a designer and philanthropist, while Lynda Erkiletian works in the fashion industry. Cat Ommanney shared details of her personal life, including a brief relationship with Prince Harry.

Since the swift and scandalous cancelation of The Real Housewives of DC in 2010, the five first housewives of the nation's capital have reinvented themselves. Although Andy Cohen admitted he wanted to renew Rhodc for a second season, housewife Michaele Salahi crashing the 2009 White House State Dinner wrecked any chance for the series to get a follow-up season. While fans hope for a Real Housewives of DC reboot, the original DC housewives are not holding their breath and have moved on to exciting new lives.

The cast of Rhodc was made up of five housewives: Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney,...

Peacock Opens The Bravo Vault To Shows Starring Nene Leakes, Kim Zolciak, Rachel Zoe, Tabatha Coffey & More
Image
Peacock is opening the Bravo vault and bringing back classic shows beginning Monday, April 15.

Fans of The Real Housewives franchise will have more shows to watch as several spinoffs become available on the streaming service.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been the franchise to produce the most spinoffs, such as when cameras followed Nene Leakes getting married with the I Dream of Nene: The Wedding special. Kandi Burruss also got her special as she tied the knot on TV.

Kim Zolciak left Rhoa, but cameras continued to follow her and her family as she married Kroy Biermann with Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding, which ultimately evolved into Don’t Be Tardy for the next seven seasons.

The Grande Dame of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Karen Huger, also scored a spinoff that followed her family reunion.

Peacock will also have the first and only season of The Real Housewives of D.C.,...

Stream Canceled Real Housewives Show

More and more people are cutting the cable cord and watching their shows on streaming services. Bravo shows used to be available to watch on Hulu. But with the creation of the Peacock streaming platform, all NBC shows moved to Peacock. NBC and Bravo are owned by the same company.

Peacock to Add 16 Unscripted Bravo Titles in April, Including 'Real Housewives,' 'Shahs of Sunset,' More
Rachel Zoe, Rodger Berman, and Brad Goreski in The Rachel Zoe Project (2008)
Peacock wants to get nostalgic with some of Bravo’s most famous past titles, including ‘The Rachel Zoe Project,’ ‘Million Dollar Listing’ and more.

The 2023 strikes from Hollywood’s biggest actors and writers’ unions were eminently avoidable, but studios chose to play hardball with union reps and force work stoppages. TV networks and streaming services are just now getting their scripted titles back on screens, but Peacock is pulling a move that might make audiences think the strikes are still going! This month, Peacock will be adding over 15 titles pulled from the pile of unscripted reality shows from Bravo’s past; old fan-favorites like “The Real Housewives of D.C.” and many more are coming to the platform in April.

Newly imported Bravo titles will begin arriving on Peacock on April 15. Sixteen titles have been announced for the rollout, and Peacock pledges that more will be included. Peacock is already home...

Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives’: Every Single Cast Photo In Franchise History
Image
On March 21, 2006, The Real Housewives of Orange County premiered, not knowing it would lead the way to a franchise that would solidify Bravo’s position as a reality show powerhouse.

Vicki Gunvalson yelling in her driveway about getting a family fan to take her to the airport didn’t live up to her standards of luxury, and the crazy antics of housewives were born.

As The Real Housewives franchise turns 18, executive producer Andy Cohen honored the housewives’ legacy in television history.

“I didn’t know then how that show- and over a hundred incredible women over ten-plus spinoffs – would change pop culture, and my life!” Cohen shared on Instagram celebrating Rhoc. “Thank You To The Housewives for all you give us, and to the incredible production teams at Evolution, Shed Media, Truly Original, Sirens Media, & Purveyors of Pop.”

Following Orange County’s success, the franchise got its first spinoff with...

A Bravo first: A 'Real Housewives' gets canceled
Michaele Salahi, Mary Schmidt Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Catherine Ommanney, and Stacie Turner in The Real Housewives of D.C. (2010)
For the first time in Bravo history, a member of its flagship reality franchise has received the axe: The Real Housewives of Washington D.C. has been canceled after one season.

That still leaves more than enough Housewives to go around: There’s Orange County, New York, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Miami and, of course, New Jersey.

Though D.C. had decent ratings, executives found the cast a bit stiff compared to the menopausal rage-o-holicism that spiced up some of the other shows in the franchise — particularly fellow newcomer Beverly Hills, which doubled D.C.’s ratings in its finale.

Bravo remains undecided on giving 'The Real Housewives of DC' a second term
Michaele Salahi, Mary Schmidt Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Catherine Ommanney, and Stacie Turner in The Real Housewives of D.C. (2010)
There has been a lot of speculation on the state of Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise. When once it was a force to be reckoned with, viewership shows that just because a cast is blessed with "The Real Housewives" title, it doesn't mean they're going to be a hit. Now, Radaronline.com reports that "The Real Housewives of DC" has been impeached from the franchise.

"The show just didn't do well and it wasn't worth airing another season," a source "close to the situation" tells the site.

We contacted Bravo for a statement and a representative tells us, "The network has made no decision regarding a Season 2."

According to the report, filming for the second DC season was to begin about now, but Bravo has yet to contact the housewives about their decision to cancel the series.

The first season of the series was marred by the antics of the alleged gatecrashers,...

Report: 'The Real Housewives of D.C.' Won't Return
At some point, TV was bound to reach its saturation point on the number of real housewives that viewers could possibly care about. That moment may be upon us, as RadarOnline.com is reporting that Bravo will not renew "The Real Housewives of D.C." after one, low-rated season. A network rep would not confirm the cancellation, which could be made official at next week's annual presentation to advertisers. During its 11-episode run last year, "Real Housewives of D.C." never tapped into the popularity of the franchise's existing installments, which were set in Orange County,...

My Mother Recaps The Real Housewives Of D.C.: We Are Falling Into The Toilet, This Country
The Real Housewives of D.C. has already been on America’s radars since November of 2009, when one of the housewives, Michaele Sahali, breached White House security along with her husband and went from Bravo reality stars to headline news. Now, the show is upon us. Let’s meet the cast: Stacie Scott Turner: A lovely African-American real estate agent with a hot husband and adorable children. Stacie is what we would call the “normal” one of the group. Lynda Erkiletian: The local Milf. Lynda is a divorced mother of grown children, whose boyfriend is an 8 foot tall suit model named Ebong who is definitely giving her her groove back. Catherine Ommanney: Catherine Ommanney’s last name is hilarious because she has an extremely deep voice. She is British, married to the most connected man on the show, and may or may not hate black people. Time will tell.

White House Crasher Claims She Was On Receiving End Of Can Of Whoopi-Ass
Oh, Lawd. The View, and Whoopi Goldberg in particular, are at the center of another sh*tstorm today. This one is brought on by White House party-crasher Michaele Salahi, who is a member of the cast of The Real Housewives Of D.C. and was brought on the talk show along with the other housewives to promote their Bravo series. Not only did they barely discuss the show, but Salahi was grilled by hosts Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd about her alleged invitation to the White House which, let’s face it, no one believes exists. Things didn’t get crazy though until Whoopi Goldberg ran out from backstage, touched Salahi’s back and said “‘Excuse me, can you get back to the White House, please?” Salahi appeared confused but obviously not injured by Goldberg’s appearance, but when she went backstage after the segment, she allegedly accused Goldberg of hitting her.

'Real Housewife' is no crasher
Don't call them "party crashers" anymore!

That was the clear message from Lisa Bloom, an attorney who now represents "Real Housewives of D.C."'s Michaele and Tareq Salahi.

The two "may not be referred to as "party crashers" as that statement is false and defamatory," the statement in the early Thursday morning hours said.

Its release came after Michaele appeared on "The View" Wednesday and left in tears before accusing co-host Whoopi Goldberg of verbal abuse.

"False and defamatory allegations have swirled around the Salahis since November 2009, when they were accused by the media of being "White House party crashers", the lawyer said.

She cited the emails from a White House liaison revealed by her clients "to substantiate the fact that they were led to believe that they were invited and welcomed at the state dinner."

The Real Housewives of D.C. production company even applied for and received...
