After the ending credits of Entourage, it could be shown that John Ellis calls Ari and puts forward the proposition to replace John's position as CEO, as John is retiring. However, in the film, this was altered to Ari becoming a Studio Head as John Ellis decided not to retire. Which leads to some tension between them.
