A witty homeless woman named Julia finds herself the new owner of someone else's credit card. In order to obtain better food and other goods for her and her homeless friends in a place the town refers to as 'Bum's Park', she disguises herself to attend a party held by the well-known war hero, Vincent Denley. In a case of mistaken identity, Julia soon becomes Denley's house guest, living alongside his smart-aleck daughter, Angelica. When Julia accidentally stumbles upon some incriminating information, she must decide whether to expose him to keep from getting caught herself or keep quiet in order to protect his daughter.
