    Piché: The Landing of a Man tells us the story of French-Canadian Air Transat pilot Robert Piche who lives in Toronto with his wife and children. With his instincts and his tumultuous traumatic past, Robert Piché finds the strength and his cool headed composure necessary to land his plane out of fuel and save the 306 people in it. Treatment in a rehab clinic for alcohol problems in the aftermath of this heroic act, he must relive not only strong but also this time passing in prison. He must also learn how to quit alchohol and smoking win his dysfunctional family back



    The film Piché: The Landing of a Man was inspired by, and is based on the book Robert Piché: Hands on Destiny, a 264 paged biographical book published in January 2004, written Robert Piche himself, in collaboration with Quebec journalist Pierre Cayouette. The screenplay of the film was written by Ian Lauzon.



    The film is a a 2000 British-American romantic comedy-drama film called Chocolat based on the novel of the same name by Joanne Harris.
