Batman discovers a mysterious girl on the streets of Gotham City--a teenager with a suprising connection to Superman. The situation becomes even more bizarre and dangerous when the girl comes to the attention of Darkseid, the absolute ruler of Apokolips.
From the official Press Release from Warner Home Video:Fan favorites Tim Daly (Private Practice) and Kevin Conroy (China Beach) return to their seminal roles as Superman and Batman, respectively. The celebrity-laden guest cast is headed by Andre Braugher (Men of a Certain Age) as the daunting Darkseid. Sci-Fi heroine Summer Glau (Serenity/Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) provides the voice of Supergirl, and seven-time Emmy Award winner Ed Asner (Up) reprises his Superman: The Animated Series/Justice League role as Granny Goodness.

QUESTION: Did Michael Ironside have a conflict? Was there any reason why you brought in Andre Braugher instead as Darkseid?
BRUCE TIMM: No, basically, when we do bring Kevin (Conroy) and Tim (Daly) in to do voices, our wonderful publicity people weigh in and say, "Well, you know, it's great...we love Kevin and we love Tim, but we need have some stunt casting to help out getting publicity in terms of media exposure and magazines and stuff." So, we always like to look at some of the major supporting characters as parts that we can stunt-cast with higher profile actors. In the best of all worlds, I would have been perfectly happy to have just used Nicholle Tom and Michael Ironside, but at the same time, I was delighted to work with Summer Glau and Andre Braugher.
