Summaries

  • Renowned magician James is invited to star in new variety Magic Go Live. Promo Dept's senior manager Irene gathers her team to discuss the show's direction, and although everyone doesn't seem to care much, they are actually all preparing to impress. In the end, an idea by new member Ming for James to pay tribute to other magicians and say the catchphrase "Miracles exist" comes out tops. Others slam Ming for the idea. Irene meets Ming privately and regrets that Ming did not persist with her idea during the meeting. Ming goes to persuade James to take her idea, not knowing it's already been accepted, as Lawrence, a senior executive, also wants the idea. Casper meets Ming for the first time and begins to like her, especially for her determination. Irene is surprised when Ming manages to persuade James. In a twist of fate, on the day of the show's press conference, the dove used crashes and dies on the spot. The media makes a fuss of it and the show's sponsors are unhappy. James insists on using video for the show, to the dismay of Ming. Due to her opposition, he challenges her to break one of his tricks. If she succeeds, he'll give in. With her perseverance, she does it. Irene is wary of James' promise, and true to her suspicions, he not only releases a dove on the day of the performance, the dove 'dies' onstage.
