Sarah Williams in Okun's Law (2010)

Quotes

Okun's Law

Edit
  • Opening Narration: After the Y2 depression, everyone was fucked. Less than 10% of the population was employed with work. Of that 10%, 98% were formally educated with a minimum of 11 years post-secondary schooling. The status gap was never greater and with time the Poor's were left with nothing. In protest of any form of thought or controlled social society, the Poor's eventually retreated into the mountains. Their existence became a fable. It was only the wealthiest families in the world that could survive, educate their children and keep their lineage alive. There were however a few ancient ancestries who had still managed to cling to the middle class but those families were rapidly fading. They had but one option; immigrate to America in hopes of finding one of the rare jobs still existing on earth. They would have to know someone but luckily a lot of Mid's did. They were the most desperate of people. They knew education was completely synonymous with money and getting both the Mid's would stop at nothing.
  • Ashwin: I hate all you people! Why can't you just get your own fucking lives! You fucking welfares!
  • Abe: You know our broke isn't that same as their broke.
  • Ashwin: Just because somebody thinks of an idea does that mean they have to be credited for it?
  • Ashwin: I never should have listened to you about moving down here in the first place. Ten minutes in this fucking country and my car's been stolen and my boyfriend is dead.
