This movie is enough to keep anyone's attention till end. Though it is a bit long movie, but can't compliant about duration. It will encourage anyone to solve the puzzles and stick with the movie until it's ending. This movie starts with a son arriving at hometown when his father is dead. As time passes, he starts noticing everyone's suspicious behaviours which leads him to believe his father was murdered. To know more about village people and reason of their acting weird, he starts digging in. In this quest for revelation, he almost killed several times. So, what's going on the village? Why they are after him?
I managed to see this Korean movie at AMC theater and despite the long running time it was well worth the time. The build up to this movie is very good and had my interest throughout the whole movie. In fact I was glued to the screen really wanting to know what is going on and it was very entertaining as the pieces of the puzzle started getting put together piece by piece. Even the characters constantly leads you to believe what is going on is something mind blowing. And although everything about this movie is very well done, the main disappointing part of this movie is the conclusion. Jeong Jae-Yeong is very good in this role and so is Heo Jun-Ho who is perfect for this role. Yoo-Sun's acting wasn't amazing or anything but I liked her presence in this. The plot about this movie is about a son visiting a village since his father died and finds strange things going on in the village a certain mystery. And the more he digs into what is going on the more dangerous the situation becomes for him. Like I said this movie was way longer than I expected, but I don't have any complaints about that since I found the story to keep getting intriguing as it progressed. This film is based on a Korean internet comic and although I haven't read the comic I can tell it stayed faithful to the comic or probably even better than the comic itself. The flashbacks and switching between time-lines is done in a clever and fluid manner and doesn't get annoying or irritating while watching. This is a very good Korean mystery/thriller that should be seen at least once. Despite knowing the twist I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

The story is quality and has some decent twists. The action-oriented scenes (there aren't really any actual action scenes) are well-done and entertaining.
There are a lot of flashbacks which help explain what is going on, though it is often hard to tell who is who in the flashback scenes because it seems that different actors are used, if only for some of the characters.
There are a few neat aspects to the movie which are somewhat unique and contribute to its quality.
Most of the actors are high quality and well-cast, especially the two leads. There are some comic relief henchmen who are also quite good.
It could do to be half an hour shorter, though there is not much else to complain about.

What man can live humbly, how can he bear a day without dignity? In the end, the woman's face, with a half-smile and a half-smile, contains much wisdom of life. The whole film has a lively rhythm, a full plot, and the acting skills are in place. The images of several protagonists have their own characteristics. One of the drawbacks is that the minor details have not been spared, and that both the male owner and the prosecutor are poker faces.
i don't know if you have noticed how good Korean film have been in the past few years. OldBoy, Chaser, i saw the devil change the way i looked at Korean cinema and thrillers in particularly. this one is no different, if not better. everything about it is great: the suspense, music, acting, story buildup, and even... the final scene. yes its a bit long, but worth every second, as you cant get bored with t, its just getting better and better. i had to go back to the movie thread to understand some of the details i missed / or deliberately left out to the viewers to decide... normally i don't like the directors do that to us "poor" viewers, but here i didn't mind really. all good. very good indeed.

after going through a recent love of korean cinema, i accidentally came across moss and found a great film which died out towards it's conclusion. it does have a hefty run time, which isn't a problem, a great film will engulf you and can you forget time.
i won't spoil the story but the characters as likable as some of them are, too much is given away from their direction, it won't be long until characters play to stereotypes and you'll most likely work out the twist.
the protagonist never does anything to make him likable but you do root for him but as the story shifts between him and his father, the quality of the story telling begins to falter. his background is never explored to any detail but his tenacity to find out his fathers killer is portrayed amicably.
the flashbacks are done well but never reveal anything of great importance and the storyline does have areas which set up the flashback to the point it suspends belief at the conclusion. some questions aren't answered and at times the plot becomes convoluted, it's somewhat easier to ignore the property subplot and just assume he's a evil b*****d.
the makeup for some of the characters never seems over the top though it would've been easier to have different actors.
if you can leave your mind in 1st gear and not get caught into some of the details it is an enjoyable film which can never live up to memories of murder but easily better than some of the recent examples of western cinema

This movie about story revolves around the man who try to uncover the mystery behind the death of his father. The movie is unwantedly stretched for 165 minutes without interesting or engaging screenplay. And climax twist cannot be considered as twist at all. There are bunch of logic loopholes which weakened the screenplay.
Watch at your own risk..
