When the farmers give Sam a nickname "the Chin", it's a reference to Bruce's best-selling autobiography "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor"
Sam claims he only taught the "terrorists" plays from the junior varsity football team from Analy High School. Matt Nix (creator of Burn Notice) graduated from Analy High School in Sebastopol California.
Throughout the series, Sam uses the same alias for all of his undercover characters; Chuck Finley. Apparently, he got the idea for the name from his mission in Colombia off of a Sports magazine.
Veracruz (Pedro Pascal) is shown to have a tattoo on his inner right wrist of the letter V. This is Pedro Pascal's actual tattoo, for Veronica, which is his mother's name.
