NCIS' 1000th episode featured Spence Moore II's debut as Jared Vance. The NCIS producers recast Jared twice, as Khamani Griffin and Akinsola Aribo played Director Vance's son before Moore. Spence Moore II has had success in roles before he starred as Jared in NCIS season 21, episode 7.

GamePigeon, the popular gaming app that was designed for Apple's iMessage, has been a fan favorite since its release alongside iOS 10 — at least for Apple users. Despite calls for iMessage to be available on Android, the service remains exclusive to Mac, iOS, and iPadOS users. Traditional messaging services have come a long way since the short message service (SMS) and multimedia messaging service (Mms) standards were introduced, but they still come up short against iMessage in some key areas. The industry's new standard, rich communication services (Rcs), brings major improvements, but it still doesn't offer compatibility with iMessage — because Apple won’t add support for it.
Since GamePigeon is basically an extension of iMessage, it isn't natively compatible with Android. It is technically possible to use GamePigeon on Android (there are guides available), but it's a hassle for the average person. The process requires modifying the code of the app itself,...

Media Asia also recruited Japanese director Yojiro Kakita to work with a stellar Chinese cast for the first time on family drama “Silence of Smoke.” The film’s lead actors Han Geng, Zhang Guoli and actress Xu Qing said at the Media Asia event that they were thrilled to work with the famed helmer whose “Departures” (2008) won an Oscar for best foreign-language film.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more great action than you can snap at. What the hell does that even mean? Is that what Thanos did in Avengers 3? How in the hell did some-thing as dumb as a snap become popular? Have you ever met a grown man who gets drunk at the bar and starts snapping and gets really impressed by what he just did? It makes sound! Dumb-ass.
Match #1: Petey Williams beat Rich Swann
This was an excellent match that did the 50/50 booking thing, which doesn’t work. I don’t mind the idea of each man getting a victory over the other, but when they do so in matches that don’t really have much promotion behind them, it just feels trivial. It’s a shame, because the wrestling in this match was...

The trailer for Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay was designed to make it look like a 1970-s grindhouse film, which could have been an interesting take on the team. What we get instead, isn’t exactly that, and while set within the new DC Animated Universe canon is off in a corner, nor is it particularly good or bad. Out this week from Warner Home Entertainment, the 86-minute feature is most certainly not for children.
There’s a gritty realism to the constant violence and betrayal among the villains seen in this movie, written by Alan Burnett, who certainly knows the characters well. He adapts them from the comics, making adjustments for his needs, so it’s not exactly like their four-color counterparts or as we’ve seen them in other animated fare. There’s certainly a high body count, starting early with the quick dispatching of Tobias Whale (Dave Fennoy...

Last year, viewers watched Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton, and Jennifer Hudson fight to land Chloé Kohanski on their respective teams during The Voice blind auditons. They all saw a bright future for the then 23-year-old singer who wowed them with her rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain." She ultimately chose #TeamMiley, but won the reality singing-competition on #TeamBlake after getting stolen during the Knockout round. Recently, her fans began wondering what the Season 13 winner is doing now. "I'm going to be really honest and transparent with u... the past few months have literally been insane," she shared on Instagram. "I just wanted to walk away from The Voice with at least a few new fans... so I can't explain to you how wildly unprepared I am for all of this. But I can promise you that I’m working very hard. Since December, I've been pushed in ways I’ve never experienced before.

The first trailer for Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay has arrived, and it looks promising. That used to be something you wouldn't have to say about DC Animated Features, but they've been spotty as of late in my personal opinion so all I can say here is the trailer looks pretty damn good. The lineup of heroes is better than the live-action film, Tara Strong is voicing Harley, and the violence doesn't appear to be limited as Quinn just smacked the head off that frozen guy! Let's just hope Vandal Savage is more interesting this time around than he was in Legends of Tomorrow. Christian Slater also stars in the film as Deadshot!
An original story, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay finds Amanda Waller’s top secret “Task Force X” – Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead – on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so...

In order to be a great martial art film, a movie just has to follow one rule: keep audiences entertained. Those films produced in Thailand manage to do just that, earning the praise of being home to some of the best martial arts movies. The films may lack a serious story-line, but the incredible choreography more than makes up for it all.
Narrowing down the movies to find the best is no easy task, but we came up with what we feel are the top five best Thai martial arts films. Each movie in our list features the enchanting choreography from the late famed director and martial artist Panna Rittikrai. His films used no CGI to show off each actor’s athletic prowess.
Born to Fight (2004)

Sadly, the youngest of the gang suffers from an acute heart condition, which following a minor scuffle with some local bullies lands him in hospital and desperately in need of a life-saving transplant. Fortunately, a viable heart soon becomes available at another local hospital, but before it can be transferred the building is overtaken by rebel soldiers-turned-terrorists prepared to kill if their politically-driven demands are not met by the authorities.
With only four hours in which the surgery can be performed successfully, the young friends take it upon themselves to infiltrate the hospital and retrieve the donated organ.

While I'll never understand the failure of Born To Fight star Dan Chupong to really catch on as a martial arts leading man - I've always found him enormously charismatic myself - it would appear that those awaiting the rise of a new fight hero in Thailand may have their man with the arrivial of real life muay thai fighter Buakaw Banchamek in the lead of upcoming historical epic Legend Of The Broken Sword Warrior. The latest from Bang Rajan actor Bin Bunluerit, Broken Sword stars Banchamek as Thongdee - a real life military leader who rose up from the streets via the fighting ring to become a hero to his people. Historical accuracy? I have no idea how much of that there is but...

Cargill & I invite you to travel with us to Thailand, where (according to this week’s movie) national pride runs high and life is incredibly cheap! Born To Fight is one of the most relentless, breathless action films ever made! A mashup of John Woo, Michael Mann, and Michael Bay (wearing each of those influences as overt badges of honor), Born To Fight is essentially the answer to the question, “what if, instead of a cop, John McClane had been a cadre of gymnasts, rugby players, and football strikers?” It also boasts an unbroken 31-minute action sequence that will have you cringing as well as cheering! At the end of the episode, we introduce our first ever giveaway! Listen in to find out how you can win a title from the greasy Jfc vault! The last time Dan Chupong starred for director Panna Rittikrai it was for Born To Fight, a film that - other than stuntman Chupong - was populated almost entirely with national level Thai athletes across a variety of disciplines including, yes, the national soccer team. Most of the footie themed stunts in Born To Fight, though, were executed using CGI which clearly did not sit quite right with Rittikrai because he's going back to the combat soccer arena in the upcoming Vengeance Of An Assassin and this time it's all real. How do you pull of something like this on the big screen? Handily enough for us there's a new behind the scenes reel from the film that shows us. It's one hell of a goofy...

Though the now sadly departed action maestro Panna Rittikrai was best known as a fight choreographer thanks to his long history with Ong Bak star Tony Jaa his skill set actually ran far deeper than that and I would suggest that as good as his martial arts work was, Rittikrai's true genius lay in his ability to stage and execute long take action sequences. Need an example? Go back to Born To Fight and check out the over-the-shoulder perspective based assault sequence of Dan Chupong making his way through the village with a shotgun ... it's one of the best video game inspired perspective sequences ever captured on film. And it's this part of Rittikrai's repertoire being explored in a pair of new promo videos for...

Panna Rittikrai, the action choreographer who brought us Tony Jaa and Jeejaa Yanin has sadly passed away at the age of 53. It was said Panna was suffering from a long illness, which he sadly did not come through. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this sad time.
Panna had some great movies under his belt as choreographer, he brought the world Tony Jaa (Ong Bak movies) and more recently Tom Yum Goong 2. Also we seen Jeeja Yanin come through in the movie Chocolate and Dan Chupong (Born To Fight).
Panna started off by forming his own 20 man stunt team and was driven by watching movies from Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee. In an interview he once said “When the audience realises that the stunt-work is real — that they’re not special effects — they’ll regard it not only as spectacle but as something more high-impact,...

Reports are surfacing from Thailand that celebrated martial arts choreographer and film director Panna Ritthikrai has died from liver disease, aged 53.Ritthikrai is probably best known for his work with action star Tony Jaa in films such as the Ong-Bak and Tom Yum Goong series, but he also directed a number of features including The Bodyguard and the fantastic olympian-actioner Born to Fight. Panna Rittikrai and Dan Chupong are getting back together. Best known as the mentor to and fight choreographer for Tony Jaa, Rittikrai had a long career as a screen fighter and director himself, the man plying his trade in a string of ultra low budget grinders never seen anywhere outside of Thailand until Jaa vaulted him to fame. And so when Rittikrai was given the first real budget of his career in 2004 to direct Born To Fight - a remake of one of his own earlier titles - nobody thought that much of it. It was, among other things, simply a gesture of respect from producers Sahamongkol, a thank you to the veteran performer who had groomed and prepared Tony Jaa to become by...

Get ready for something different, Tony Jaa fans. Having built his early notoriety at least partially on the promise of no wires and no CGI enhancement in the action and stunt sequences of his previous films Jaa and director Prachya Pinkaew are utilizing both for the upcoming Tom Yum Goong 2.Though a rarity in the work of action choreographer Panna Rittikrai, he has shown a willingness to dip into both areas when the action calls for it. Mercury Man and Dynamite Warrior both made extensive use of both wire and CGI work, for example, and even the much more raw Born To Fight includes one notable CGI gag. This is a first for Jaa, however, one necessitated by some of the 3D gags in the...

Heads up fans of Tony Jaa: There are rumblings on several fronts from the upcoming Tom Yum Goong 2.Up first is the new artwork, which you see to the left. It may seem a minor note but it's worth pointing out that Jaa is the only one featured on the new poster, which is a change from the earlier art which also featured co-star Jija Yanin prominently. I take this as a sign that the footage is turning out well and Yanin - along with Born To Fight star Dan Chupong, who is also in here - is no longer considered necessary to market and sell the film. Director Pen-Ek Ratanaruang’s (“Last Life in the Universe”) “Headshot” begins in a quiet moment, with a man seated at a desk, gently keying a letter on a typewriter. Nice, right? Only the man has a gnarly neck scar, and the letter is an assassination order. The film that follows this inauspicious, though ominous opening is not so much an action movie as it is a badass character study. A sprawling, twisted crime story that bounces around in time, “Headshot” has cops, robbers, guns, and gangsters. Jarring bursts of violence set the stage to play with themes of identity, selfhood, spirituality, and the very nature of good and evil. All in all, this is fertile ground for a crime movie to dig into. Hailing from Thailand, you might expect a lighting pace, epic fight scenes, and stunt performers throwing their bodies about, willy nilly, with no regard for personal safety.

Steve Austin is quickly becoming this generation’s Steven Seagal. All of his movies are interchangeable, and if they didn’t have different titles, you’d probably think it was one continuous storyline spliced together by someone who doesn’t really understand how movies operate. Be that as it may, I’ve watched all of Austin’s flicks, including that hideous feel-good family drama “Knockout”. Maybe that’s why my cinematic radar twitched a bit when I saw the trailer for the upcoming direct-to-video actioner “Recoil”, which co-stars Danny Trejo, another actor who isn’t too discriminating when it comes to scripts. That’s no criticism, mind you, as I find Trejo to be endlessly entertaining, even when the movie he stars in is less than spectacular. Here’s a quick, one sentence synopsis: A cop turns vigilante after his family is murdered, exacting vengeance on the killers – and then...
