The Great Magic

I don't understand the low score at all. This movie is great in all possible ways. Everything about it is fantastic. The actors are doing a terrific job, the director herself Noémie Lvovsky is playing along (and singing and dancing on an enchanting music from Feu! Chatterton, and cowriting the text). Of course if you like only common things, you might be taken off guard, as this is a true work of art, rebelious as it should be, but in a charming, light, funny, esthetical, and o so French way.

It doesn't shun heavy themes, and it's full of philosophy, but the way it is all brought!! So merry! I loved it.

I watched this movie on the opening night of a local music festival and really enjoyed it. The film was chosen because of its happy spirit and for its typical french story.

I got fully immersed in the world of the movie. I liked the magical topic, but it didn't only entertain, but left me with a thought. The performance from the actors is quite good. It reminded me to watch more french films since I personally like them and it's worth checking out.

A special thing is that it's almost musical like, with songs coming out of nowhere, but in a good sense.

I would recommend to watch it in french if you can understand it, since I liked it.

I can't understand, why it got only a 5 point average.
