Dinner at My Place

I swear I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie, as one ehn I had such a good laughter to the point my cheeks were hurt from laughing lol...Bisola is such a brilliant and funny actress. Comedy is subjective and you choose what is funny or not...what happened to the lead character in the story is hilarious...You set out to plan an engagement proposal, everything seems all perfect until your anxiety sets in and one stupid move sets off a chain of events, from there on wards it's a crazy situation (no spoilers intended) Hahaha. Dinner at my place is one of the funniest movie I have seen in a minute, the loveliest bits of the movie are the scenes where romance take front row. Timini and Alakija are nothing short of cute as Nonso and Chioma, evoking that "Awwww God when?" feeling. I would have rated this movie 10/10 but took one point off because I didn't like the idea of Bisola's annoying voice even though I understand it's how they must have chosen to depict her character to be annoying and not likeable but aside that, I totally recommend this movie, you will enjoy watching it.

I have seen this movie like 4 times already because I love it so much. The story is not like the regular Nollywood Rich man love poor girl romance. It is a simple Rom-Com story with a great cast and very relatable. My take away from the story is "what if your proposal plan does not go as perfectly planned by you?" And in real life, most of our plans never really go according to plan.

Bisola's acting is superb, her change of voice and cursing with Yoruba is hilarious, The romance btw Timini and Sophie makes you want to fall in love, The duo were the perfect cast.

The cinematography, sound design and Directing is also fantastic. I like how the story was allowed flow on its own progression and not forcing unfunny jokes at the audience. There were suspenseful moments and also you laugh and even cringe for the characters. Y'all need to watch "Dinner at my place". The movie is interesting abeg.

Dinner at my place was amazing and hilarious! The director and the writer deserve an award. It takes a trained and intelligent director to bring out the already existing pure talents in the actors. I love this movie so much that I watched it 6 times already. It had me wanting more. From the simple lovely story line to the scores to the set design and the wonderful actors had me hooked all through. If you have not watched this movie, you are missing a great deal of healthy laughter, good feeling, drama and true love in action. Great movie! Good job to the cast and crew! We cannot wait to have more from you guys.
