Ishrat Made in China

The main act of this entertainer is Ishrat vs Mangshi, and both Mohib and HSY show us how they have conquered the action space. There are numerous moments to LOL. Right now, anything entertaining is welcome to hold on to the hope of a bigger and better Pakistani cinema, especially after a long hiatus.

I saw this with my family in a theatre. Awesome experience. Overall you really need to go to the theater with an open mind in order for you to appreciate this movie. The movie is written very well. Mohib & Sanam look fab together. HSY as a villain is spot-on. Mani's dialogue delivery is hilarious .. Superb screenplay.

This is an interesting film to start off with. You'll find contrasting reviews though. But here are my two cents: Go support Pakistani cinema. Until we as the audiences don't step out to watch movies, the industry won't grow. Ishrat is a light-hearted movie, and hits the right notes and makes me picture Karachi instantly.

The film is a slapstick comedy that celebrates the idea of being different. It shows how Ishrat (Mohib) goes to China in order to fulfill his dream and how he faces off against the tyrant, played by HSY. Though it has a social message, the story line could have been better. However, the comedy with lots of action sequences is surely a crowd-pleaser.

A lot of people think that it's a sequel to the sitcom Ishrat Baji. It's not! But yes, the underlying idea remains the same, that you will not succeed in anything unless you put your heart and soul in it. The production value is very modern and the VFX is something that has never been seen before in Pakistan. Pakistanis have an inherent love for humour and the jokes in the film are very desi at heart. So, it's something that audiences from every age group will enjoy.
