    Alligators aren't dinosaurs!

There's several things that make me wonder about Swamp people! First off alligators aren't dinosaurs! Plus they're not monsters! I guess its stories that the ancestors passed down over the years, including the superstition about the swamp, and Friday the 13th! I find it comical that these rough and tough Cajun men are fearful of Friday the 13th! I guess they have to have some thing to keep them busy, and something to talk about so Friday the 13th is the bogeyman day! And he comes in the form of an alligator that's a dinosaur! Oh, so scary! Plus, I can't help but notice that they will spend all day long catching 10 alligators to sell for $150 apiece, when the meat on the gator goes for $25 a pound! Some of it as high as $40 a pound ! I guess if there ancestors had taught them how to use a calculator and do the math, then go catch two big alligators And you can get $1000 for the meat and be back home by noon! But they'll take it to the buyer so he can make all the profit! Anyway, it's a good show, but how many times can you watch somebody catch an alligator? The swamp has bogeyman's! By the way, if you really want to impress me, grab me one of those so called Sasquatch's! Big foot! I'm sure they have a Cajun name for a Bigfoot if you grab a big foot bring him to me and I will pay you $200 for him! Maybe a little more! JIMMY MCNEELY 05-06-24.

    Overall ok

I kind of like this show, some of the people are entertaining, like Troy. However, there are too many repetitions of the same phrases, like Friday the 13th being mentioned at least 40 times in one episode, which makes it annoying. Also in season 14, I don't know what happened to Ashley...her face doesn't move at all!!! Botox?!? If so, I am disappointed. She is a pretty girl who is a badass. She is also very young, she doesn't need botox. If not, I am sorry, Ashley. Also, some of the people are pretty annoying. I like Troy's sons. Jacob and his son are very adorable together. I also think the writing for the narrator can improve a bit, too many repetitions, like the phrases, and also make it a little educational, like telling facts about the swamp (like how many species of sea creatures live there or types of trees) instead of repeating the same thing over and over again (like 350 tags, which is kind of a mystery until someone says "additional tags"). Also, give a little background about the hunters. Troy has a female buddy (Pickle) now. Tell us about her: where she is from, how she knows about hunting, etc.

Good Show, but too many Chays

A good show, albeit with quite a bit of overacting during the capture of the alligators. And the dramatic slow motion view of the hunters firing their gun (apparently at the water), showing water splashing back up at them during the 'supposed kill' is so overused it kinda ruins this show for me at times. I can understand why they show that rather than the kills though, after seeing all the snowflake comments here about animal cruelty. Why people who should obviously be watching shows like Desperate Housewives, or The Bachelor comment on a show like this just baffles me.

Over the years, the show has had it's ups and downs. For me the show peaked around season 7 and 8. I actually stopped watching it after season 9, but am now getting reaquainted with the show. I stopped watching because of the new cast member Ronnie, who was introduced in season 10. At the time, I simply couldn't stand him, but I have since learned where the mute button is on my tv remote. For example: Ronnie says he calls his hunting partner Ashley 'Dead Eye Jones'. When in fact, shortly after Ronnie explains why HE calls her that, Ashley states her husband actually gave her that nickname. And Ronnie constantly calling her 'baby' and 'chay chay' gets EXTREMELY annoying. So much so, I have a hard time watching the show. I keep hoping Ashley tells him to shut the F up.

Overall though, the show is worth a watch. Just use the mute button when Ronnie is on screen or delivering dialog.

    Stop Whining

Why are all the snowflakes moaning about this show?

Surely you understand the concept of culling?

The alligator has no natural enemy other than itself and man.

If they are left to multiply all year round there will be no other wildlife around.

They will eat everything fish, hogs.rats and anything else that lives in the swamp. And when everything is gone they'll eat cows , cats . Dogs and people.

This is why they can only hunt for 1 month every year.

    Use your head.
