A cinematic rendition of the historic assassination in Writer's building . Director Arun Roy's legacy of dramatizing real life events in celluloid continues in his latest film.
The film starts with a passionate voice-over from Sabyasachi Chakraborty which is a fine move to establish the prevalent conditions of Bengali freedom fighters and the police brutality to nullify the movements. There are scenes of extreme graphic brutality which could have been easily avoided because it doesn't invoke disgust ,anger as they are supposed to. The reason is the halfhearted screenplay which doesn't succeed in establishing the horrors of police brutality. The film fails to properly establish them as menacing, brutal as they were. There was no focus on the chemistry of the trio and even less focus is given on their character. A few dialogues here and there and it's done, although the performance from them are convincing enough. A more tighter editing could have been helpful also. The sequence of the assassination has been executed very well in the last fifteen minutes and really a laudable effort owing to the low budget. Among the three songs, only Arijit Singh's one worked well in the film. At the last moment when the real images of Binay,Badal,Dinesh appears, you couldn't but feel numb for a few seconds .
Extensively loud overbearing music paralyses the film of the gravity it deserves. There were many scenes which would have been much better with little or no music at all. The film does try to invoke thrill in those situations by those music but instead it falls flat. It feels like an abomination. In the contrary, there is some excellent camerawork in some scenes .There are few remarkable visuals but the scenes are sabotaged by unwarranted loud music. The film has been smartly shot in black and white by Gopi Bhagat which works very well.
As a whole the film works only in few aspects and fails in many but still a film on that incident was long overdue and it's a sensible move to make a film on big screen.

The film was well executed. But the scenes of the women insulting or torturing so dirty was the worst! It can even spoil the minds of people and make it dirty! Others were good.

What a movie !!! And a very perfect depiction of olindo judho by 3 braveheart Bengalis who entered Writers against the British demons and their pathan bodyguards and the boys trembled the empire in single day and avenged the killing of masteda 💪💪👍👍🙏🙏🙏
What a movie!! Felt goosebumps in every scene. So natural and realistic. Story, screenplay, bgm, music is top notch. Acting 9/10. My only negetive point in these film is the cast of Netaji, the actor failed to poteay the image of our hero, he was so blunt.
Must watch film to know the Heroics of 3 young, brave, patriotic, fighting spirit freedom fighters who gave their life happily laughing for their Motheland's independence fork the British dictatorship.
It will inspire the youths of our today's generation to think and do something for their country in any way to make their country feel proud for them.
"JAY BINOY, BADOL, DINESH ER JAY".
