The title pretty much tells you what to expect out of this Lumiere Brothers actuality film. If you're familiar with these actuality movies then you know not to expect any sort of plot or anything like that. Instead we're basically just given a video of what was going on during this moment in time. The most fascinating thing here is that one man apparently doesn't know what a movie camera is as he ends up standing in the shot and blocking some of the footage. Obviously someone finally got his attention and had him movie but you've got to think that the majority of the people walking by had no idea they were being filmed and wouldn't even imagine that someone would be watching this footage well over a hundred years later.
