This short film is the first 'Film Gift' presented by the Dutch Film Festival and the Dutch Film Fund. This new initiative aims to promote Dutch film, and will be made by different well-established filmmakers. 'The Visit' had its premiere at the opening night of the Dutch Film Festival on the 22th of September 2010. During the Festival, from the 22th of September to the 1st of October 2010, The Visit was screened in most of the national theaters.
