One of the best serie i have watched. I wasnt expecting something this strong in story. I thought its another Frankenstein act but its much more than that. Acting, story, reflections of personalities and choices, familial bonds , ignorances of masses and many other emotions you feel regarding human behaviour, visuals, depth... This is not a fantasy genre for sure, it has those elements yes but its bare minimum. This serie is more like psychology, human nature and choices. I also loved the fact that the main character is not a purely nice guy and he is not bad either. He is literally young who learns through experience, he starts as selfish teenager but somehow finds his worth in the end. Briefly fantastic job. Its definitely worth warching.
But after i switched to Turkish I came to realize this is a marvelous story with incredible depth, soul, and a real insight into the nature of human hearts and human character (from an albeit inhuman being's experiences).
This is a Frankenstein story to be sure, but it's got a life of its own and should be judged not on its closeness to Mary Shelly but its own merits as a cinemagraphic artwork. I have no clue why so many haters have dropped the rating down to a lowly 6 but this is a piece of fiction Netflix truly excelled in acquiring. Just hope the ending isn't the end.
My only criticism is the failure to provide true closure in the final episode, but in a way it tries to whilst holding the door open for a greenlight of another season it seems (as evident from the 2023 - ___ for its dates). Very good work directors, actors, team and historians. You've actually made me want to dive into more Turkish cinema, something I had 0 interest in or knowledge of prior.
Cheers.

A minisaga of a creature that tells the story of our mankind better than all other humans. Although the concept is taken from Frankenstein, it's got a whole another plot. We see love, sadness, disappointment, anger, hatred, hope, and most importantly, greed. Indeed, the story is all about our greed.
The acting of all leading characters are satisfying, especially of Erkan Kolçak Köstendil. However, the dialogues are sometimes banal and disconnected. The storytelling could be improved by enriching the story through historical myths and character backgrounds rather than several situations that the protagonist faces throughout different episodes.
All in all, the most outstanding Turkish production of Netflix so far.

I started watching with little judgement since turkish netflix works dosent have very cleverly done story telling and effective sound design. Sound design was very impressive and really builds up atmosphere of the scene effectively. They successfully created a living world and atmosphere of the era. Even when sometimes lightning had little problems on some scenes it was genuinely well used. Make up was very impressive and definitely was too realistic. I really liked how they adapt the orginal story in to ottoman era and style. Each location and character was well designed and definitely cast was amazing and performance was effective. Because turkish and english dosent really match as sound, watching the series with original language and subtitles is the best way to watch the series in my own opinion.
The original story is very skillfully combined with local culture and religion. The elements that are different from the original one make it feels like they serve this harmony. I also think that the changes do not harm the sub-messages of the text, on the contrary, they strengthen them from different angles. I've never felt the need to praise the acting in my previous comments. The acting of Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, who plays Ihsan, and the quality of the stage designs are the biggest strength of the work after the original text. The work contains a narrative about being human with all its fantastic and religious elements. People who do this brilliantly have always brought us the most valuable works of the fantasy genre.
