Centro De Gravidade

I really enjoyed watching this film. Richter's skillful control of the medium and actor direction truly comes through. I enjoyed watching the relationships of the characters unfold as the mystery and intrigue of their lives unravel. You can tell that the actors are meticulously directed and permeate a pure an unquestionable believability-- reminiscent of Dreyer's mastery in "The Passion of Joan of Arc." The art direction is also well done, filled with subtle beauty and calculated yet nuanced composition. The pace is at times slow but not distracting and certainly congruent with the storytelling. Overall, a great Brazilian flick that will leave the viewer wanting more.
