Official poster with Hector De La Rosa as "Snake Plissken"

Trivia

Escape from New Jersey

Edit
The character of Jack Burton is a tribute to Kurt Russell's character in Big Trouble in Little China. Russell played Snake Pliskin in Escape From L.A. and Escape From New York.
Smart Guy's house is really the home of director/co-writer Chris R. Notarile. Moreover, you can see on a wall a piece of paper with the titles of various film projects Notarile was planning to make in the near future when this movie was shot.
Hector De La Rosa had done no previous film acting prior to playing Snake Plissken in this movie.
At the beginning of the movie, when Snake enters the bar, there are several references to the original Escape From New York. 1. The bar is called, "Maggie's" Maggie was a character in the original who helped Snake. 2. On the wall, behind Snake are photos of Director John Carpenter, Donald Pleasence (the President), Adrian Barbeau (Maggie) Issac Hayes (The Duke) and Kurt Russell as Elvis (Snake Plisskin)
