One of the first animated films of the Soyuzmultfilm studio, filmed by directors and artists Vladimir Suteev and Leonid Amalrik based on the fairy tale of the same name.
Being one of the earliest Soviet cartoons, "Kolobok" is more like Western animation works - even grandfather and grandmother here, to celebrate, are dancing not folk dances, but a twist, and Kolobok himself resembles the moon from the movie "Journey to the Moon" by Georges Melies.
... The plot of the cartoon differs from the canonical one: there is no, for example, a hare - only a wolf, a bear and a fox, and the main character himself runs away from his pursuers very ingeniously. Instead of himself, he offers the bear a hedgehog, just as round, but prickly, and in the finale, having deceived all the predators, he returns to the old man and the old woman, who are already tired of looking for the "son".
