Unadulterated garbage
I was looking for a documentary about the pyramids on Netflix to show my 4 year old son and this is the only one I could find that didn't have aliens.
The idiotic ideas are matched by the low budget visuals, a mixture of 'independent Egyptologists', Google Earth and After Effects.
I wonder how University of Calgary feel about their name being put on this?

Poor video resolution & soundtrack, else REFRESHING -- a 10
Really ticked off by most of these reviews. This is a great series. Anyone who believes, after reading Petrie or Schwaller-Lubitz and other explorers, that the pyramids were built as tombs, is deeply mistaken. If you know anything about architecture, building, stones, burial practices, or Egyptology, and weren't brainwashed into what you now think, it would be clear. No mummy or body has ever been found in a pyramid, debunking the addled tomb theory that clings to a single cartouche found in an otherwise featureless pyramid that may have been put there by a desperate archeologist in the 1800s. Things are called sarcophogi because of their shape and not because of remains. These structures were here before the Egyptians, and the neolithic societies grew up around them and learned from them and buried their people near them because of the aura of power they exuded. The pyramids OBVIOUSLY are ANCIENT MACHINES -- as Tesla proposed, and he used his theories on pyramids and electromagnetic power to come up with his inventions. But human hubris today won't admit that ancients may have been more advanced than us, or as advanced -- WE are the greatest, most evolved humans of all time, dang it! Here, have another sip of koolaid while you call geniuses and brave explorers crawling into bat-infested ancient underground tunnels "pseudo," champ. The Pyramid Has No Clothes! Wake up, as Hakim (RIP) says. If you read enough on a wide array of subjects, including excavation data, you will realize that this series is full of possible departure points for further exploration, most of which is not yet allowed, because **keeping things a mystery keeps more tourist dollars flowing in**. This video isn't just trying to open the minds of products of mainstream education. They are trying to encourage professionals to try to excavate or bore holes with cameras to see into places to get more data to form a more lucid hypothesis of the whole enchilada. Watching this video is a great inspiration, if you can get the judgemental dogs in your mind to lie down in silence while you consider what is said. And whoever insulted the reputation of the highly-accomplished Dr. Carmen Boulter (RIP,) who found the Labyrinth with Klaus Dona using space archeology, deserves a special level of humiliation. We really need a new framework for the megaliths. People should stop obstructing the greatest secret never told that could perhaps save us from our death-spiral trajectory as a species. Leave a positive review and raise the interest so we can get some expeditions into Hawara, and elsewhere!
It adds value to IMBd, if you think that it forced me to create an account in order to rate this SAD documentary
This documentary is a threat for the public health, the first 20 minutes gave me headache and nausea .. Please remove it from everywhere it may stands!
very good alternative views on the history and possible futures of human kind
I found this documentary highly interesting, and though there are some holes, and sometimes the 'proof' is negligible, it presents alternative tellings of a history which could open up the way to new and more positive ways of understanding.
i am very disappointed in the other men whose seemed to be particularly annoyed by the assertion the Egyptian was matriarchal... matriarchal societies are not anti male and do now preclude male rulers. I do believe this kind of thinking/fear has been one reason why we are unable to hear and see other possible narratives and interpretations of history.
personally, i would prefer to 'believe' in some of the theories brought up in this series than those which come from men whose sole purpose (whether they are conscious of it or not), is to maintain their power over others. unfortunately most religions do exactly this... and unfortunately much so called scientific theory, historical theory, and like is just a part of maintaining this false power structure.
was glad to see something a little bit different (and this is coming from someone who is disgusted by most 'new-age' nonsense-- Jim

A load of rubbish
I didn't give this the worst possible rating simply because it does an OK job of looking like a real documentary.
However, don't let that fool you. I know a few reviewers have said "keep an open mind" but there's no room whatsoever in documentaries for suspension of dis-belief... something you must engage in to appear to have an open mind towards this nonsense.
The scientists interviewed to give credence to this series are fringe scientists. For example, their physicist is a goofball who is into chi and psychic healing.
If you get all excited to be informed by this "documentary" that the rooms in the pyramids have "resonance frequencies" then this is for you. If you realize that every enclosed space has a resonance frequency, maybe it isn't quite so exciting.
In summary, "The Pyramid Code" has more in common with "Chariots of the Gods" than real documentaries.
