The first two seasons premiered on the cable channel Crime + Investigation Network on Foxtel from June 2010 to January 2012. They were later purchased by the Nine Network, which re-branded the series as Australian Crime Stories and gave them their free-to-air broadcast debuts from 2016 to 2017. Nine then commissioned a third season of Australian Crime Stories that was broadcast in 2019, and a fourth season that was broadcast in 2020.
