Elizabeth Anne Allen stated that she would have liked to portray the "much darker" Amy Madison from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) in this series. Allen would also not return as the character in Slayers: A Buffyverse Story (2023).

Includes themes that were to be explored in the Faith spin-off starring Eliza Dushku. She dropped out of the project in favor of Tru Calling (2003).
