Even those who firmly believe in the progressive political movement that opposes superstitions and superstitions, many say that if they stumble a little in life, they cry out to God. This time Tiny Hands Productions has come up with a full-length satirical film "Padachone Inal Katholi" that satirizes such a subject. The film, which features a hero who is not at peace not only in life but even in his dreams, and a heroine who is obsessed with superstition, mercilessly trolls some contemporary events. The film is directed by Bijith Bala, who is famous as a film editor in Malayalam. A very important sociological causes wrapped in humour.

As the name suggests, the film starts with the famous dialogue of Kuthiravattom Pappu. Directed by Bijit Bala, Srinath Bhasi starrer Patachon is sure to attract Catholic audiences. Comrade Dinesan, who was born in a party village and firmly believes in communist values, is the hero of the film. A girl comes into his life which leads to party events and teaching career. The film is made in such a way as to appeal to the family audience, with an emphasis on humor and songs. The director has definitely succeeded in establishing what the film wants to say and the plot with satire. Overall a must watch movie in today's time.

Dinesan is a masha at a school in a village called Chintamangalam in northern Kerala. More than a school mash, Dinesan is also a comrade who has revolutionary blood flowing through his veins. Dinesan, who implemented many progressive ideas in the school including gender neutral uniform, is much loved by his fellow teachers and students. But one after the other suffering and misery followed Dinesan without leaving. Indu, Kerala Kumaran, Giri, Gund Saji, etc. Are the constant companions of Dinesan Mash. Opposition leaders like Nelliil Chandran and Unnimon are also active in the area, who go to polls on foot and on foot.
Oh I had so much expectations from this movie! I loved Sreenath Bhasi in Bheeshmaparvam and Kumbalangi and some of his other less-known movies too. His acting was okay...I would give it 3.5. Grace is really good. But man, the story.
When it began in a party village in Kannur, everything was working. It was authentic. Although even then there were some loose strings but we can overlook it. However, cut to when the other heroine enters the scene...from then the movie lacks direction. Though it tries to get the viewers excited for a Right wing vs Left wing drama, it falls flat. What then follows is a mockery of astrologlical practices. Don't get me wrong. Even though I am a devout Hindu, I can take a joke if delivered well :) But this was crass. The team clearly hasn't done good research on some of the best astrologers in Kerala. They obviously may not be completely accurate in their predictions, but considering the number of other religion people that visit them I can tell you they get a lot of their shiz right.
So when you mock them, you got to do it well and have to back it with solid research. Otherwise, what lies in front of you is a movie that is in a way offensive, neither funny, and extremely boring.
I would still ask you to watch this movie once just to get the feel of how a Communist stronghold village in Kannur is. For a lot of us South Keralites, it is really interesting.
