Natori Kotaro, a "smell fetishist" with a specialty in distinguishing scents, works at a cosmetics and bath products manufacturer. One day, he encounters an interesting smell coming from Yaejima Asako from the accounting department.
Asako spends the night with a man for the first time. Thinking about it makes her sweat and she can't concentrate at work, leading her to get sent home early. Kotaro smells her and Asako, overwhelmed with her thoughts, collapses.
Asako sees Kotaro having a fun conversation with Korisu, making her feel insecure. Kotaro and Korisu go a business trip alone for three nights, and Asako's anxiety goes out of control.
Kotaro tells Asako that Korisu confessed to him. She ends up alone with Korisu in an elevator and sweats uncontrollably. Asako makes a date with Kotaro to go to her younger brother Keita's restaurant, but Keita has a plan of his own.
Asako is sweating trying to think of a good birthday present for Kotaro when he makes an unexpected suggestion. The two decide to make their office romance public.
Kotaro and Asako decide to move in together. They have a "let's live together" meeting and talk about their preferences, such as soap dispensers and wanting to smell Asako every day, before heading to the real estate agency.
Kotaro and Asako have been living together for almost a year. Kotaro catches a cold and becomes depressed when he loses his sense of smell. Asako seems to be hiding something, and Kotaro goes to Korisu and Suzumura for advice.
Kotaro daydreams about having children with Asako. Asako becomes sick and dreams about unpleasant childhood memories, worrying Kotaro. Once recovered, Asako goes to her parents' house to see her best friend from middle school.
