Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga Kapoor and filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane are among 16 jury members set to judge 12 competition categories at the 16th edition of India’s Kashish Pride Film Festival.

Joining Monga Kapoor and Motwane are director-producer Abhishek Chaubey and producer Neeraj Churi as jury members for the Kashish QDrishti Film Grant, which awards $3000 to an LGBTQ+ identifying filmmaker to make a short film. Actor Renuka Shahane will support two runners-up.

The narrative jury features actor Shishir Sharma, actor and TV host Shruti Seth and filmmaker Tanuja Chandra, who will adjudge best narrative feature and shorts, best screenplay and best performance awards. These categories receive backing from Taiwanese streaming platform GagaOoLala, production house Samruddhi Studios and actor Abhay Kulkarni.

Even though Alexis Bledel left the show four years earlier, The Handmaid’s Tale star returned for the finale, and now she’s explaining why. The dystopian story ran for six seasons, coming to a close with the series finale on May 27, 2025. Throughout most of the show's run on Hulu, Alexis Bledel's Emily was a staple of the story.

This made it all the most shocking when Bledel chose to leave The Handmaid's Tale. Narratively, they chalked the decision up to Emily leaving her loved ones in Canada so that she could go back to fight against Gilead – a noble decision that feels perfectly in character.

Although Bledel left after season 4, the Og handmaid returned for the finale of The Handmaid’s Tale, explaining to The Hollywood Reporter the reason why. She said this of her decision to return:

Since a Guardian had witnessed June’s conversation with Aunt Lydia, presumably he had informed his seniors that June was the one who’d planned the operation. At the beginning of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 Episode 6, June and Moira survived hiding in the trunk of Joseph’s car, but when they crawled out into the world again, it was clear nothing was as safe as it seemed, not even with Joseph at the wheel.

Despite trusting him so many times before, June isn’t naïve enough to feel cozy in his presence now. And she’s right to hesitate. Joseph is still broken by Eleanor’s death, still shocked by the cruelty he overheard from the other Commanders, including plans to hang him on the wall.
