We’ve got a Pawnee family reunion to show you, and it’s as sweet as Sweetums.
Jenny Slate got a heartwarming surprise on Friday’s The Drew Barrymore Show when her Parks and Recreation co-star and TV dad Henry Winkler popped up in the audience posing as a fan. Slate got emotional when she saw Winkler, who asked her: “Can I have some of that money back?” (Slate’s character Mona-Lisa Saperstein, you’ll remember, always begged Winkler’s character Lu for cash, sticking out her hand and demanding, “Money, please!”)

Was Joey Tribbiani the smartest one from the Friends group? ( Photo Credit – YouTube )
It’s been almost a year since Friends: The Reunion dropped on HBO Max, and fans are still buzzing about those hilarious moments. One standout? Matt LeBlanc’s cheeky prediction is that Joey will probably open a sandwich shop in Venice Beach by now. Classic Joey! Often dismissed as “the dumb one,” Joey Tribbiani showcased various types of intelligence throughout the series—emotional, social, and even a sprinkle of street smarts.
Joey’s Emotional Intelligence
Sure, Joey might not have been the brightest bulb in the room. But his emotional intelligence? It shone. Take “The One with Joey’s Dirty Day” in Season 4. Here, he nailed the “best friend” role, sensing Chandler’s needs after a tough breakup. He even categorized Chandler’s recovery into stages—one of which was the infamous “Strip Club stage.” While his motives were a tad self-serving,...

Following the world premiere of Gia Coppola’s deep-feeling Las Vegas drama “The Last Showgirl,” star Pamela Anderson teared up during a Q&a while sharing that Kate Gersten’s script was the only good script she’s ever received. And while we don’t doubt there have been plenty of good scripts around in the many decades the Canadian starlet has been working, we don’t doubt they weren’t sent to her — the product of a profound underestimation of the erstwhile “Baywatch” star’s prodigious talents.
Like the character at the heart of Coppola’s film — the eponymous “last showgirl” Shelly — Anderson has been forced to spend most of her life contending with unfair expectations and unreasonable requests. And while “The Last Showgirl” follows Shelly as she deals with the fallout from a lifetime spent blazing her own trail, Coppola’s film seems destined and designed to do...

Dawn French is returning to the BBC to star in sitcom Can You Keep A Secret?, and here are the details.
Dawn French came to prominence alongside comedy partner Jennifer Saunders in the alternative comedy boom of the 1980s, where they honed their craft at The Comedy Store and, later, The Comic Strip. That was alongside the likes of Alexei Sayle, Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson, Peter Richardson and Nigel Planer.
After appearing in The Young Ones, several Comic Strip films and Ruby Wax’s sitcom Girls On Top, French and Saunders starred in their eponymous sketch show, which ran on and off for over 30 years.
While Saunders became a solo star with Absolutely Fabulous, French played Gereldine Granger in Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer’s The Vicar of Dibley, which grew into one of Britain’s most beloved sitcoms.

Friends ran for a complete decade, bringing new stories every year from 1994 to 2004. And while some shows lose their spark when stretched so long, Friends remained as charming as ever. After its end, the main actors went their separate ways, but things didn’t work out too well for Matthew Perry, who was facing a bit of bad luck in the industry.

One failed movie after the other caused studios to stop offering him roles and while his time on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and other television shows was “fun,” there was a time when he wished that Friends had never come to an end.

Ever since 2007, The Big Bang Theory made its debut on the small screen, and it has been hailed as one of the best sitcoms ever by TV series enthusiasts. The show masterfully combines the lives of a socially awkward group of friends who are geniuses. With sharp wit and iconic pop culture references that normalize the nerd culture, it creates several iconic scenes for the fans.

While Jim Parsons’ Sheldon Cooper is the most prominent character from the show, Simon Helberg’s Howard Wolowitz added to the sitcom’s charm and wit. With quirky attire and unwavering confidence, Wolowitz was essential to the show’s success.
After 12 seasons of the show and countless laughs later, it is impossible to imagine someone else in the role. However, he had initially turned down the role, as he was done playing a nerd.

One of the very few theatrical releases in the very early days of the pandemic, Derrick Borte’s Unhinged managed to make $44 million at the box office at a time when audiences weren’t exactly eager to get back into theaters, the film offering an action-packed, explosively violent bit of exploitation with Russell Crowe as the title character, a road rage-fueled madman.
Four years later, Derrick Borte and Russell Crowe are reteaming for a new action-thriller titled Bear Country, but the bad news here is that it’s not a Russell Crowe vs. Bears movie.
Deadline details, “Crowe will play ageing but formidable club owner, Manco Kapak who has been robbed by a masked gunman. Now, his aspirations of selling his club and riding off into the sunset alongside his girlfriend appear more distant than ever.

Exclusive: Oscar winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator) will re-team with his Unhinged director Derrick Borte on the action-thriller Bear Country.
Crowe will play ageing but formidable club owner, Manco Kapak who has been robbed by a masked gunman. Now, his aspirations of selling his club and riding off into the sunset alongside his girlfriend appear more distant than ever. Cartel bosses are breathing down his neck and a young upstart has been posing as the new guy in town eager to purchase the club.
Borte, alongside Daniel Forte (American Dreamer), wrote the screenplay based on the Thomas Perry novel, Strip. A Higher Standard will handle sales at the Cannes market.
Mark Fasano (Marlowe) of Nickel City Pictures will produce with Jeffrey Greenstein (The Bricklayer) of A Higher Standard, Mark Bower and Bruno Mustic of Life & Soul Pictures, and David Lipper and Robert A. Daly jr. of Latigo films who are co-financing with Gramercy Park Media.

It would come as no surprise to learn that “Back on the Strip” started out as a “Magic Mike” parody. I’m not saying that it did. But what else could explain the bizarrely literal premise of an ensemble indie comedy in which our hero is a wannabe magician who heads to Vegas hoping to be the next David Copperfield, only to wind up shaking his wand for a Chippendales-style male dance revue instead?
What makes “Strip” so consistently funny for most of its too-long two-hour running time isn’t Merlin’s lame prestidigi-dream (that part feels like co-writers Chris Spencer and Eric Daniel have been watching too many Nickelodeon movies) but the sorry state of his fellow dancers: a has-been crew called the Chocolate Chips. That fairly original hook allowed the filmmakers to round up an A-list lineup for this C-grade endeavor. The movie features everyone from Tiffany Haddish...

Daniel Fienberg: It’s hard to tell the story of Spring TV in 2023 without discussing HBO’s Succession and Barry, as well as Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso. Those three shows, two definitely finished and one seemingly coming to an end, represented four of the last six Emmy wins for outstanding drama and comedy series, as well as many nominations for acting, writing and directing. With their shocking deaths, wild deviations in tone and, in the case of Ted Lasso, expanded episode running times, they’ve dominated social media and water cooler conversations since March.
That’s why we’re not going to focus on them here. There’s more to TV than Barry, Succession and Ted Lasso — or at least HBO and Apple hope there is after the upcoming awards season concludes.
Even not counting the holy trinity of the spring, there were buzzy returning shows — Fxx’s Dave!

All 7 seasons of the NBC comedy 30 Rock are available to binge on Hulu. Tina Fey created the show inspired by her experiences on Saturday Night Live, though the world of Tgs was wilder than SNL. 30 Rock was both a Hollywood industry satire and a universally relatable workplace comedy with career and dating foibles.
