go for it if you love traveling

    Such a refreshing one.

Do you love travelling, exploring new places? Then go for this movie. Well, is it a movie or a documentary? Doesn't matter. It has served its purpose I guess

For someone to travel through over 40 countries by his bike, wow, it s just incredibly amazing.

    Seriously Not Reality

Ok Why not say that he has a crew to: watch his bike and stuff, to help him with the filming and overhead shots, to protect him, and with the cost of all this over his 2 year adventure.

Instead Netflix makes it like he's completely solo! Only One reviewer talks about his lack of any sun tan, lol yeah, that milky white skin wouldn't fair too well in some of his environs, never mind in the direct sun for hours every day.

It's so silly to show obvious footage of him from afar and drone shots but never once alluding to his assistance. It gives naive people the wrong impression. Some of those countries shouldn't be visited alone. This documentary should come with a disclaimer.

    Entertaining, fast-paced trek

As an avid independent traveler on a shoe-string, I found this documentary entertaining, although it's scrubbed of most unpleasantness, and glosses over obstacles.

This documentary presents a lush, fast-paced perspective of exotic countries such as Myanmar, and Timor-Leste, and of smiling, friendly people, without delving into perils of which there are many during such a journey.

There is a quick mention of a flat tire, then quite a bit later, a short mention of being bored during 2,600km biking through the Australian outback. After awhile though, the joy of exploring the world is starting to wane, naturally, and the endless rain in South America becomes annoying, and a string (15) of flat tires is understandably frustrating.

Those are just the top of the iceberg when it comes to the many obstacles on a trek like this, and I cannot imagine Dennis' exhaustion after biking 40,000 miles.

The presentation is too fast-paced to allow the gathering of much information for travel to any of these countries. Going through India, for example, merits only a few minutes, and other countries such as Malaysia are only mentioned in the narrative.

To me, this show is the equivalent of the HGTV house renovations, that compress the hard work into an hour of viewing, trying to inspire you to do the work, while making you believe they are easier than in reality. Entertaining without a doubt, though!

As a side note, after 2+ years of cycling, Dennis doesn't appear sunburned, or even much tanned!

Fresh and informative look at the world

This documentary gives a fresh look at our world. Very informative in a personal sense as to how people from other parts of the globe react to a biking solo traveler. I like the Asia part of the documentary especially with the rain and diving off bridge and rivers. I was smiling at the pure fun Dennis is having with Cyril and kids. I was disheartened with his experiences while in South America. I can feel his concerns for his life. South American cities are so dangerous. The landscape outside the South American cities are still beautiful and untamed and very cold. South America is still wild. Thank you Dennis for making this film.
