The returned soldier Mike (35) suffers hard from a bad injury at his knee. When he isn't able to stand up anymore, even with his walking stick, he gets so desperate that he takes an overdose of painkillers. After that he gets in a kind of fever dream, where he relives an old memory with his daughter. They play together on a meadow, and are extremely happy together. Mike awakens because he nearly fells from his chair, but still has the happy feelings, which are very strong. He slowly realizes that his daughter is enough to fight for, and that he wants to be strong - for her. He goes to another room, where his daughter sleeps in her bed, and promises her that he won't give up.
