Outlander: Blood of My Blood

Many of these actors are known to me, so right out of gate I'm in a serene place, relaxed and intrigued at the least. Good to see the ever reliable Tony Curran in front of the camera again. He's probably the most underrated thespian out of Scotland. Harriet Slater always delivers and Miss Corfield is ever a worthy addition. I'm of course familiar with her work and as far as the first two episodes she shined the brightest. The pacing a little uneven but that's knit-picking compared to this incredible ensemble. I'm very much looking forward to the remaining episodes.

The costumes. The cinematography. The landscapes giving main character vibes. The accents.

I love the new cast. It's good to see the characters, some of which we could only imagine come to life on the screen.

These stories are so well developed by the creators.

The behind the scenes looks with the actors is an added bonus.

Full of twists and turns. The cinematography is fantastic and captures all the background of the historical locations. Casting creates continuity background to Jamie and Clare. Other historical characters are also introduced. The tension of 2 clans interacting is done in a creative and mischievous way. My wife and have already watched the opening 2 episodes twice!

I absolutely love it! For bringing back 18th-century Scotland to life, its customs, clan politics and stunning landscapes. The chemistry between the cast is fantastic and really draws you into the story. Plus, Julie Fowlis' incredible voice adds such a magical touch. It's a series that truly transports you to another time. Highly recommend!

Compared tae "Outlander", this prequel's a slow burner. First half-hour had me near noddin' aff, but it picks up a wee bit after. Naebody's leapin' oot as the next big Hollywood star yet - aye, they're fine, but swap them oot an' ye'd barely notice. Harriett Slater's the standout, far mair natural than Sophie Skelton. Cast shares the load, so nae one's run ragged like Caitriona was. Weird how everybody's greetin' "Da" - thought that was just Bri's thing. The vibe's no' as fan-friendly as the original lot, an' a few o' them are actin' like they're Meryl Streep already. Sex scenes are toned doon, time jumps can be a wee bit confusin', but the characters cross paths nicely. I'll keep watchin' - oh, an' dae yersel' a favour an' check oot the Indian series "Brinda," pure belter o' a murder mystery.
