Jeri Ryan, Kevan Ohtsji, Michael Jai White, and Ian Anthony Dale in Mortal Kombat: Legacy (2011)

Trivia

Mortal Kombat: Legacy

Edit
Raiden's arrival on earth, mirrors the happenings of Thor's arrival to earth in the film, Thor (2011). In both instances, the god of Thunder arrives to earth seemingly powerless and no one believing his claims. He ends up being taken to a medical facility and kept drugged until he makes his escape.
Jean-Claude Van Damme's daughter, Bianca Van Damme, auditioned for the role of Mileena. You can see her training for the audition in the television series, Jean Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors (2011).
Michael Jai White, Jeri Ryan, Ian Anthony Dale and Matt Mullins were the only actors from Mortal Kombat: Rebirth (2010) to reprise their roles in season 1 and Dale was the only cast member to return in season 2.
Michael Jai White didn't return as Jax for season 2; however, he did state that he would return as this character for the movie. The role of Jax for the movie went to Mehcad Brooks.
Kevin Tancharoen revealed that he had wanted to include Kabal in the series, but was hampered by budget limitations coupled with the complexities of the character's backstory and physical appearance. In June 2012, he posted on Twitter two snippets from his production-draft script of the reboot film, one of which featured Kabal addressing Jax as "Captain Briggs." Matt Mullins, who portrayed Johnny Cage in the first season, told Kamidogu in 2011 that he would have liked to play Kabal had he not been cast as Cage. "He has been influenced by both good and evil and we have not seen a lot of him in different storylines."
