I read a positive review in the Guardian and decided to watch it.
Shocked at how shallow and cliché it was, almost from the start. Nothing new, nothing special, all done before and to much better standards.
Towards the middle, it became clear, especially knowing that the writer is playing the main character, it's an exercise in self-indulgent writing and acting. Some scenes are cringe-worthy because of the basic script that's meant to sound deep on occasion, and the amateur acting.
Nothing memorable or redeemable; quickly becomes very predictable. I'm curious to know how this got funding and materialised into a seven-episode drama; but unfortunately fluff sells these days, more than ever.

It's not perfect but it holds your attention. The focus is very centered on Mae which fits the plot, but the Gina and Elijah actors contribute some necessary counterpoint. Does not completely hang together on close inspection but it is still interesting to watch. The story is a kind of variant on a Groundhog Day sort of theme, but more serious and even a little full of itself. There is a little too much self-centered introspection. There are many varied situations, most of which are compelling. There is a good range of secondary characters which contributes to the interest. Overall, a good effort on a non-traditional story.
Is there anything hotter than Zoe? If there is I don't want to know about it! However this being said, and don't get me wrong, what a talent! Kudos! Huge achievement! And importantly I am really enjoying it, it's very entertaining and... Ya know what, I'm going to disregard and censor my chief criticism, because it's dialog related and frankly, there's no accounting for what one might say and the lingo they might adopt - so basically yaaa this review is turning into yet another white boy remarking on what a smoke show Zoe is... Soooooo yaaa sorry ( hey Zoe, dm me?) lol jk jk, I know this is not that.
To me this is one of those series to be watched on a certain mood, definitely not after coming from your lousy work that you don't like (if you're in that situation), or after coming from running when the brain is too alert. I watched all episodes late at night and enjoyed it very much, maybe because of the late night tranquility.
I didn't know the main actress and she impressed me a lot, on how natural and real her performance is, specially on the laughs. I think she is fantastic and will search more of her work.
The best things of this show is in the details. If you watch it for the general story that it is and expect a certain outcome, you might find that there is no sense of direction or that it didn't work... but if you just let it go with the flow, you will certainly find some gems regarding the psychology and behavior of the characters. I also loved the soundtrack, it makes the surreal moments funny and the happy moments really sweet.

I loved this, and Zoe Lister-Jones is great in anything she's in. The storyline was really interesting and I loved the moving through the different dimensions. I'm not really getting the negative reviews on this. It's something different, is easy viewing at half an hour, and only goes for seven episodes. I'd probably class it as humorous drama, rather than a comedy, though. So don't go into it thinking there'll be heaps of laughs.
The supporting cast were great too, except I think the husband was miscast - he seemed like an overgrown teenager, and the two of them married wasn't really believable for me.
