Best (though most gorey) Episode Ever.

Just watched this one again, and it is truly cringe-y and gorey as I don't think I've ever seen on a tv drama. House operates on himself, removing tumors from his leg, in his bathtub. Starts out well, but of course he can't continue. (there's a side story with 13 and Chase treating an injured friend of hers in her apartment, and another side story with ridiculous Taub). The main storyline features amazing effects and great acting.

Perhaps the Best Quote of the Series (~10:45)

Taub says (as the stripper gyrates above him) _"But without crappy dads..."_,,, and just leaves it at that. Don't know if the Foreman character is supposed to get it, but just brilliant!

    Thank God for House MD.

    • Trivia
House says, "Now, even if those implants were made of adamantium..." referring to the fictional metal first mentioned in Avengers #66 (1969). Additionally, it is all but indestructible, the second-hardest substance in the Marvel Universe. Several lesser forms of adamantium are less expensive and easier to forge but are also less durable. Adamantium is best known as the substance merged with Wolverine's bones and claws.
    • Goofs
When House is in the ER he is lying on a gurney with an IV inserted in his right hand. When he starts talking on the phone the wide shots show the line from the IV being hooked up to the catheter in his hand, but in the closeup shots of House talking the IV line is unhooked.
    • Quotes

Dr. Chris Taub: I don't even know why she's even considering having my kid. She barely knows me. All she knows is: I'm a short balding guy. It doesn't even make evolutionary sense.
