Tom is the young owner of a L.A.-based private movie theater, where he solely shows films from the past and refuses to screen present-day works. On his day off he attempts to relax, thus isolating himself from the people in his life. His ex-girlfriend and an intrusive couple interrupt his idyll. Each of them confronts him with their personal desires. In his frustration, Tom will do exactly what he did not set out to do on this particular day. He will seek out the few people who spark an interest in him and end up at his workplace, his movie theater, hoping to find what it is that he himself desires.
