The 25th Reich (2012)

Trivia

The 25th Reich

Edit
The director's cut of The 25th Reich features the spoof ending: "To be Continued in The 25th Reich and The War with God" - a homage to 1930's and 40's serial cliffhanger finales. For the U.K. release, the distributors deleted this ending.
The dead Kangaroo hanging as bait in the movie was actually found by the 1st assistant director as road kill. It was kept in his freezer for days until it was needed on set.
The 25th Reich was photographed in the remote mountain wilderness of the Victorian Grampian Ranges, where temperatures fluctuated between 50 degree days and 2 degree nights. The crew hauled camera equipment up and down mountains in very difficult conditions. Aside from the many rolled ankles and torn ligaments, scorpions were to be found under every second rock, along with deadly Tiger Snakes, Red Belly Black Snakes and giant Orb Spiders. The water tanks brought in for the crew were eventually found to be carrying parasites, making the shooting of The 25th Reich a difficult and daunting experience.
In what could have been a scene from the film itself, the crew regularly dodged road warrior wombats and kangaroos on their way to and from location shooting.
The correct quote of "Anybody can make history; only a great man can write it" was originally penned by Oscar Wilde.
