The synopsis of this film is about a 15-year-old girl, who after the death of her parents she goes to live with her rich grandmother. However the relationship with her grandmother is very strained to say the least. The girl cannot wait for her grandmother to die so she can inherit her grandmotherÂ’s fortune. She reckons the old dear will live another 30 years or so. However she is a clever little girl who has read a lot about the law. She has found out that a person under the age of 16, who has committed murder, will only get sent to a juvenile prison. So she decides that in the long run it is a good investment and starts to plan how she can dump off her grandmother.

Â“A Little Bit Of KnowledgeÂ” illustrates the abundance of information that is readily available in modern society. The moral of this film is the adverse effect of having information without the maturity to use this in a constructive way can be detrimental. The complex nature of this moral is simplified with the codes and conventions normally associated with fairy tales. Like in fairy tales, the films central character does not have a happy ending reaffirming the notion that knowledge used immorally, will be peoples eventual down fall.
