Easton Neston has a rich history, including a mystery: was it really designed by Sir Christopher Wren? Cruickshank tries to solve that question, and visits with the new owner, Russian American billionaire Leon Max, who has restored the house and made it the European headquarters for his fashion brand.

Cruickshank explores Wentworth Woodhouse in Yorkshire, one of the largest private homes in Europe. With more than 300 rooms, the house is so vast that experts cannot agree on the exact number of rooms. Grown of a bitter family rivalry, Wentworth Woodhouse is so large it houses a secret: it is two houses in one. But damage from the aggressive post-World War II coal mining on the estate is threatening the structural foundation of Wentworth Woodhouse.

Cruickshank visits Clandeboye House in Northern Ireland, occupied by the Marchioness of Dufferin and Ava. He explores the magnificent collection of artifacts from around the world, including ancient Egypt and the British colonies.

The series concludes with Marshcourt, the eccentric manor built in 1904 that attracted the most glamorous figures of the Edwardian era.
