Oddly, when I saw the title of the show I thought, "He's going to be really good at this." Because, there really isn't a reason to do this show if he isn't. I think he's one of those people. That's just really smart and if he puts his mind to anything it's going to happen. I like the fact that they aren't painting everything gray which was driving me nuts on other shows.
I hate to say this but what I don't like is her. She tries too hard to be cool and fun and I think she'd be much better off if she just focused on being a designer instead of being Jon's cheerleader. It's probably the show telling her to do that, but hopefully they'll be a lot more seasons, and she'll stop trying to say "cool" things that she thinks lil Jon might say.
I think it comes off that he doesn't really need her and he probably doesn't. Maybe they should give up on her and her husband and focus more on the guy who can build anything out of wood. In fact, he should have his own show.
