I will admit this season have had it's moments but episodes like this seems to be a recurring theme. It's plagued with poorly written storylines that seems to be going absolutely nowhere. It is in fact starting to feel like a soap opera, and not a very good one. I'm worried about the state of this show and at this point I doubt it will have a worthy ending. The humor is still spot on and I still find myself laughing at the jokes but it doesn't excuse the rest of it. The episodes are longer than the previous seasons and as a result it suffers from too much dead air and too much forced drama.
The only thing keeping me watching is the characters. Been following them for three seasons now and they've become a part of me.. For better or worse.

Let's see. We have way too much Keeley and her boss. We just knew this would have to end at some point. That woman was running the whole show and Keeley is not stupid. We have had say too much time spent on this relationship. Aren't there enough players and soccer events to come up with some decent stories. I'm also tired of Ted and his moping over his failed marriage. He gets good advice eventually, but despite his anxiety, I'd love to see less of his vulnerability--the point has pretty much been made. He gets to see his son and be a dad so let it go at that. The internet stuff was way overblown. Going to the enemy's game was OK I guess. It shows that the kid doesn't care about all the adult angst.
We know that Ted Lasso is not a show based entirely on football but also upon the characters based on the wonderful sport. We have indeed received enough footage of Lasso himself in this episode to be satisfied and yet it feels the whole thing's becoming more of a filler as of late with side-tracks including Keeley's POVs and all that. It's great to see unique relationships but capitalising and putting extra screen-time on them beyond need is boring and side-tracking away from the fun parts of the show. Not to mention all the rich-person themed storylines are often not so streamlined with what Ted Lasso as a show was all about. It's becoming a show-off of commercialism. If they are taking football as a theme, they should justify it. If they are taking people and relationships as a theme, they should try to keep to the themes. Not get into some pompous plutocratic storylines. Else, in the end, it was a satisfactory episode. I hope the show doesn't become a drag by the end of the Season.
The best episodes are all about Ted and the team. Their journey together. It's the appeal of the show. It needs to keep football and Ted at its core.
Keeley just isn't as relevant. She's a side charachter at best, and frankly quite annoying. I think the best part of the Amsterdam episode was she wasn't in it much so we got to see the core characters. This episode focused too much on her and her relationship, which I just don't find interesting in the slightest. I see what they are trying to do with the issue they are trying to raise, but please stick to the football.
A great show, but not always great episodes and this is an example of one to forget.

That's how my wife described it. In case you don't know, 80s cartoons quite often ended with a 1 minute morality lesson. It was always the most boring part of the episode. Ted Lasso season 3 has taken this idea and stretched it to 50 mins!
It's dull, preachy and concentrating on the least interesting characters. The show is called Ted Lasso and he's barely in it anymore. I'm also pretty sure it used to be a comedy but I can't remember the last time I gave more than a thin smile.
Back in 2020 this light comedy drama was what everyone needed the hope and positivity was a great antidote to a lockdown. The scenario was never robust enough for hard hitting drama but now nobody is the antagonist and every week there's a life lesson to learn- considering the bad language it has to be aimed at teens/adults it's fair to say the viewers already know these life lessons.
