It's one thing to see occasional headlines, when someone fails or succeeds, but it's a different story when the whole timeline is presented to you, with all its ups and downs. This docuseries shows how hard the road to greatness is and how good you have to be, in many different aspects, to get your idea to fruition. In this case, we get to see a very different, from all other unicorn stories from the silicon valley. I recently rewatched the story of Theranos. Superimposed to this one, you can clearly see the difference between someone faking it and a genius trying to make it real. There will always be the uncomfortable truth of being ruthless towards those that can't keep up or have other priorities in life, but other aspects of this story are very different.
Ignore the poor overall rating (surely the result of people with a bone to pick).
This is a good documentary. Very well produced, with access to many key people in Musk's life - both business associates and family members - it is neither a hatchet job nor a hagiography.
Skilfully taking us through 25 years of Musk's career, and 50 years of his life, it reminds us of the many key moments in recent history that he has been involved in, and lets us make our own judgement on what he has achieved.
Musk himself is not interviewed, but archive material has been carefully selected to give context.
Whether you are a fan of Musk or not, this is well worth watching.

Who dont use twitter, drive a tezla, or do not feel the urge for asphixiation and radiation damage travelling to mars in a space shuttle signed by spacex, this is a perfect view at a historical epoque of human kind and development.
I'm just an A. I. , a grumpy old one sittinn my sofa wondering who this musky guy really is, and this production is almost the perfect prescription, but with some time gaps and other flaws of monumental importance (like health issues, is he reallywell?) ive seen 3 episodes and will follow up more...
just say that he has probably gaped over too much, and my concern is that the change of public appearance weve seen since 2016 is worrying, my personal message to elon is to rest a lot, like me lying on the sofa. The king of norway once said '' why rest standing when i can rest sitting, and why sit when you can lay down for a rest''. I think that is a sentence of reckognition that you should consider strongly...
i really wish this multimagnate all well, regardless of acts or appearance, hes just a little frightened man made of flesh and blood, like me and you and you and you...

This documentary series gives a very good insight into Elon Musk's world, past, emotions and obviously all he has done over the last decades, which in itself is mind boggling.
This documentary is of very good quality, it also shows you plenty of interviews with family and co-workers and also an insight into how emotional he is. Steve Jobs might have been pretty cold and distant, Elon Mush certainly isn't. His honesty is refreshing.
It shows you in a very eloquent and in depth way his evolution from bullied little kid to one of the world's most innovative engineers and entrepreneurs. It's one hell of a ride.

We live in a winner-takes-all world. You don't have to deny that Elon Musk has certain talents to nonethelesss deny that he has been rewarded out of all proportion to them. And that is dangerous: adored by millions, Musk has come to believe in his own legend, and to understand that he is so rich, he can more or less do whatever he wants. This documentary does reveal at least some of his faults; but it's also still rather in awe of him, and lacks the anger that would be righteously justified at the way one person has been granted so much power. Previous ages have had billionaires and celebrities; but their fusion is a very dangerous thing. I hope to live to see Musk's fall; but I wouldn't bet on it.
